How is it done? I use 3ds max 2008. I want to see how detail maps and bump maps scale on base bitmaps for BSPs.

use a composite shader
select the basemap
add a layer
add detail map
adjust tiling
add mask

Can you please tell me how to adjust tiling as I don't know how to do it.

Tell me more on rapid prototyping.

After you pick the bitmap don't go to parent, look for the tiling options section
