Okay, I've been playing HCE for a while, and I've found one thing in the multiplayer that bugs me... How do I turn off that little booping sound when you shoot something?

I'm fairly sure that's inbuilt, and not able to be turned off (unless you mute the game itself).

the sound is on the globals tag, on the tab that has the multiplayer announcer sounds. Search for "ting", either make it null or change it to something unnoticeable like "flesh hit".

It depends though, if he's making a map or whether he wants to turn it off when it comes to playing on already-made maps online.

well, him posting a thread here, i assumed he is a mapper... And that's the only solution to remove that pOOb sound.

Use any of the regular PC modding tools for Halo: Combat Evolved like Eschaton, you can go through the maps and remove it one by one and still be able to play online with minimal effort.

I changed it to the death sound once. Creepy as hell.

Although that sound helps people confirm they're leading right, u sure u want to disable it?

and yeah, I'm trying to make a map, and I find that noise incredibly irritating so I wanted to see if I could remove it lol
