so i have a bitmap that is suppose to be transparent white = transparent area but the area that is suppose to be transparent shows up black. how do i fix that. and for shaders i am trying to learn how to use Open Sauce but how do i get the specular maps and normal's to work properly? and the map is in a .yelo format. Well first problem is the image is a .jpg Jpg's don't save transparentcy. Save it as a PNG or TIF
If I was in Gimp I'd just: Just add an alpha channel, choose white, click delete, save.
I'd assume you got this image from Mass effect. I tried editing the JPG but it's really too compressed to just select white and edit. Edited by MatthewDratt on Aug 12, 2013 at 02:57 PM
