Does Halo Maps have capped download speed now? My download speed for this site is stuck between 50-70kb/s.

maybe dennis is the person to answer that sceny, but as i'm in the uk too i just ran a quick download test to see.
just at a glance mine went over the 100kbs then i stopped the download, so maybe your network is busy. |

The download speed has always been evenly distributed between the number of people downloading at a time. That's the reason why it tells you how many people are currently downloading; so you can understand why you're getting that speed.

I've had issues with the Download speed before. Sometimes it's fast other times it's slow. I never really worried about it.

I seem to recall I've downloaded files at near 1mb/s before so there definitely isn't a strict cap.

As of 3:15PM EST the server bandwidth is around 58Mbits/sec. Currently our cap is 100Mbits/sec so there should be no issue with available bandwidth. It must be something either on your end or somewhere between you and the server

Of the 3 years I have downloaded maps from here, I have always downloaded at 50kbs. Whether at school, at home or at my mates place. Always hits 50 and never goes higher, regardless of time of day. Hmmm...
