Metals can turn red-hot if they're heated enough. Considering this is venting built up heat from superheated plasma, it makes sense.



explain to me how this looks like halo 4's with the possible exception of the core components that make it a plasma pistol (example: http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110818235952/halo/images/7/7f/Plasma_Pistol_Halo_3.png).

Looks like h4 to me. The overall look (minus the thing on top) and coloring are the exact same if not similar.

I've circled a number of obvious differences:

The "overall look" is only the same if you compare them on the basis of, "Well, they're both plasmas pistols."

Is the hydro plant map an actual map In the game? Inspired by powerhouse I'm guessing? It sounds like a pretty fun map especially with the btb idea around it.

Hydroplant was/is a map that spawned from that piece of art that's used in the cover photo for it. If I'm not mistaken, it was Kevin who made that piece of art. Hilariously, I took like an hour to try to model the hydroplant itself out of boredom and decided it'd work as a decent blockout for any of the modelers who were actually going to try to make it.
