Is it possible to convert a .sound tag into a .wav file?

There's multiple ways. The way i found to be easiest would be to open up something like Audacity and make the input device your stero mix. Open the tag in guerilla and then hit record on audacity then hit play in guerilla. you should get it to record properly

If you're trying to extract audio, Adjutant will do that for you. There's a dedicated topic in this forum for that.

Adjudant is not for CE. Not everyone here on the forums is trying to rip stuff from halo 3 and above.

But if it works with halo 3 and newer sound tags, why wouldn't it work?

I wasn't aware that the OP was trying to rip from H:CE. The target game wasn't specified, so I assumed otherwise.

You are aware that OP is a faggot, right? Because of said faggotry, adjundant is not backwards compatible.. Actually, idk. Just search for previous versions of it.

He stated .sound tag, which usually means its from H:CE. Generally when people want to rip sound files from other halo games, they would specify. Of course, Halo CE also has its sound tags ending in a .sound extension....

Don't instantly try to assume it's from Halo 3/Reach/4 right off the bat, as this is a H:CE forum first and not a Halo 3/Reach/4 ripz forum.

But it's sure turning into one.

Sometimes sounds can be directly drag-and-dropped into Audacity. Sometimes the sounds get borked, sometimes they work. Give it a try.
