Well Im making a new and full mod of Halo CE, and in my sceneario I have 4 bsps and 1000 scenery objects. The problem is when some bsps render sceneries from other bsps. And I want to know, how can I attach a scenery object to a specific bsp. Because I tried naming the objects, but it seems I have a limit, because I canīt name all the objects. Thanks for your help

Try scripting them to disappear until you hit their appropriate BSP?

I did that, why did you think I named the sceneries? But I canīt name all the sceneries, just 500 approx. Even if I script it, the game still rendering the sceneries outside the map

Is this all in 3DS max or sapien?
If it's in sapien, why not just compile your map and render it from in-game?
Also, are you switching BSPs to place scenery or are you doing it all from one big one? Edited by OrangeJuice on Apr 4, 2013 at 07:59 PM

Is sapien. And yeah "in-game" seems to work way better than sapien. And I switch BSP, and then add scenery to the new BSP but you the game renders the scenery from the previouses bsps

you only have to worry about areas that intersect between the BSPs. The idea behind BSPs isnt just to pile everything in one area, its to expand it further than can be handled with just one BSP. Anyways, just name the items that show up in both BSPs, and control it that way.

Please read my post. I tell you only to name objects when they are shared between two bsps, and I explained how BSPs aren't meant to be located in the exact same place, insinuating to you that if you DO have all your BSPs overlapping that you should fix that first.

Its actually pretty easy assuming you placed all the scenery for one BSP, then started work on the next one. Just locate which scenery you placed last in that BSP, in sapien switch BSPs, see which ones have the red mark next to them for being outside the BSP, and identify which ones are inside the current BSP that shouldnt be.

I'm pretty sure that that are supposed to overlap. otherwise you wouldn't be able to make the switch between BSPs very well. (unless you are using cinematics between each BSP and teleporting the player).
