Its been a very long time that I've seen so many people role playing. I use to remember seeing people rping a lot (From what I remember) And last year I still didn't see many Rping servers. And I was just wondering if anyone is willing to Role Play again. That also last year I hosted my own Server named "Jeffrey's RP" and I thought of coming back to RP, and to play CTF and such.

Then keep playing your pretend halo, instead of maybe making your own maps with own AI (Yes, actual AI, not pretend AI), a useful (and fun) skill.

RPing is still happening. Some clans are still practicing, but a lot of these clans fail to preserve the original spirit of RPing in my opinion.

For those haters: Try it for once before actually judging. :)

I guess it is, there was still a bunch a couple months ago when my vid card decided it was a good time to fry itself off just like, days after my 360 also fried. Great times, yeah.

The Shock Response (SR) server still has RPs quite often... at night(at least for me).
If you live in the US though, I think SR does RPs at about 9pm ET(or around that time), so if you can make it to the RPs, I suggest you apply. Of course, I can't guarantee your entry :/

(I live in the UK so you won't see me very often during SR's in-clan RPs. For me, they occur at around 1am/2am -.-)

I have tried it multiple times. For some reason nothing is fun about shooting at the ground aimlessly, and running around, aimlessly. I cant seem to find out why.

Meh, depends on the RP leader. Roleplaying's only really fun if there's actually a fun aspect and the leader actually lets you do anything interesting. I've often participated in RPs in which everybody is simply led to an objective and then left there though.
In fact, I'm afraid I'd say that good RPs are rare to be honest.

Good RPs are also certainly not possible without admin controls so if one of the server hosts used a better admin system, roleplaying could be much more interesting.(SAPP has so many unused commands and options it's unbelievable)

I've tried to make my own large-scale RP map, but I suck with outdoor terrain...

And yeah, I don't care much for thousands of rehashed:
1.) You're an ODST of any rank.
2.) Obligatory distress signal
3.) The location you've been sent to is "mysteriously devoid of anyone"
4.) You run through the tunnels of rpg_beta6_2 shooting at nothingness
5.) You go to the prowler and sleep to restart the map or go to a new one...

BORING!

Or in the case of an old MRP RP:

Sounds like you havent RP'd in an INCREDIBLY long time.

MRP No longer exists, however the Ex-leader created a new clan "Shock response" which is loaded with veterans, who all agree that have grown up significantly since MRP's closing about a year or two ago.

The reason why the RPG_Beta maps suck (for me) is because it's hard to pour creativity on them when the visuals arent satisfying.

A few have grown up significantly, I agree.
The main thing that's happened which makes Shock Response great is that a few of those from MRp who were previously great Rpers but were inactive such as Ren have become fairly active. I wouldn't say the others returning is particularly positive, though I will hold no grudges against them. :/

I agree also that yes, the RPG Beta series could be improved greatly by more agreeable visuals. As in, visuals that haven't come straight out of the '90s.
