Yeah, you could attach the other object in the device_machine tag I'm sure. As long as it works like any other tag in Halo. In Guerrilla, there should be a place to attach objects to a tag. It would be either the tag itself or the gbxmodel, I'm not 100% sure on that.
If you attached a device_machine to another one, it should move with the other one as long as it's attached to one of the moving nodes.

darn, just tested it , and nope, the one you attach to the other won't animate....

Mine animate every time I attach them to each other. Also, for collision, the higher up ones need collision, or else the lower ones in the hierarchy wont have collision even if they have tags for it.
