does anyone have a decent DMR unlike the one released here? its just for private use. I'm making a reach type map for people here to play on LAN. Servers are really lagged-up here on Philippines. So if anyone would be kind enough to trust/lend me one, you have my gratitude.

Why not just extract the Reach version for the DMR? Pretty simple, and you can extract then import with all your markers and nodes with the model.

Exactly. All the tools for doing so are available so you just need to figure out how to get it to work, and really it isn't all that complicated.
Extract with Adjutant 2, import to max, add nodes, link proper meshes to nodes, export as .jms, compile, test.
Simple, it just has a lot of steps.

The Model's done, but I'm not sure I'm very pleased with it. I am limited to GMAX but It still can be worked. What do You guys think?

The scope still needs work IMO, but the body looks pretty accurate to me.

I think it's far from done...
Try modelling in a few more bits, especially at the butt of the gun.

With all due respect all you have done is the outline of the gun...

Here is a quick in-game of the DMR I ripped. Although I hate laziness....I would be willing to uplaod the CE data folder of the DMR for you, all you would have to do is fix up the marker and nodes.

i personally found that box modeling does not work so well fro me, i model out each component individually as a separate piece, it still needs a ton of work

@corpsmanTS no problem, though you will have to make new shaders for it since i'm using opensauce.

I've been using OS since it's release.(thanks kornmann)

i'm still trying to save money to buy 3ds but so far, the family needs it more than i do. i'll try out your method man. seems more easy than molding out parts from a whole model.

until you purchase 3ds max register here: http://students.autodesk.com/ you can get a student license that is good for up to 3 years, and as long as you don't sell anything you make you are good to go.
