I have tried everything in the book (as far as I know).

I've tried using mouse_acceleration 0 in Halo PC, Halo Custom Edition, and even tried the thing where you can get the console to show up in Halo Trial and it still doesn't work (tried all in campaign and multiplayer). The command registers it just doesn't seem to do anything.

I've tried adding a CFG file with "mouse_acceleration 0" in it and set the shortcut to execute the file and that didn't work. Again it registers on startup (I see the line of zeros in the corner) it just doesn't do anything.

I heard that Logitech mouse drivers don't play well with Halo PC but all the people I heard complaining about that were from forum posts that are over 7 years old. But I tried it anyways and uninstalled setpoint but am unsure if the automatic device installer re installed Logitech drivers when I plugged the mouse back in or not so I don't know if I tested that correctly.

So is there anything I'm missing? I am running Windows 7 so is that the problem? I've tried running it in multiple compatibility modes and that doesn't seem to make a difference. If anyone has any other methods or ideas behind turning this off it would be greatly appreciated :D

Well when I normally play I have mouse acceleration which inhibits me from being able to play to my full potential which is frustrating. I can live with it because CE is such an awesome game but getting rid of it would be optimal. Do you know if there are any instances of peoples console just not working in general because that could potentially be the problem too.

Can't you simply decrease the horizontal and vertical sensitivity in settings?

Will that do anything to decrease the acceleration? Because I'm not looking to just make it less sensitive but to actually remove the acceleration altogether if possible.
