I was following The Ghost's tutorial as to making my own ammo counter, and have found myself in a strange position. After following carefully the tutorial almost word for word (i didnt want a fuel rod ammo counter, so i was making a tactical BR one instead), about 5 minutes into the tutorial I got stuck. This is what he did vs what i did.
Pro: does the tool bitmaps command and gets the error for his .tif not being a power of 2 in dimensions opens the bitmaps in guerilla and edits a few things repeats tool bitmaps command successfully the second time around
Me: does the tool bitmaps command and gets the error for my .tif not being a power of 2 in dimensions opens the bitmaps in guerilla and edits THE EXACT SAME (i checked) few things Gets same error again on the tool bitmaps command.
I've saved, I've checked and checked again and I'm totally stumped. The tutorial is at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOyeqDk711c Perhaps you will know what ive done wrong

make sure you checked that it's not power of 2 dimensions in bitmap tag and recompile.

Upon closer examining, I noticed I havent used the Sequences, Sprite or Bitmaps sub-headings area (of the bitmap tag), but on the video, from what little i can see of his Sequences section (at 5:15), his ammo_alphas has sequences with info in it, and the sprites section empty, but again you cant see the bitmaps. With ammo_meters, he has the same with sequences but cant see the bitmaps or sprites, as he didnt scroll down enough.
I also noticed that the error he got in the video a minute previous said: "skipping bitmap with non-power-of-two dimensions (#254x#30#1)" but mine says: "skipping bitmap with non-power-of-two dimensions (#254x#29#1)" even though I made the same thing in photoshop in size and all. I don't think the latter matters, but it's worth considering.

set it as sprites in guerilla, then SAVE in guerilla. Try to recompile after.

If you are referring to the first option in the bitmap tag, I have and the error is during the recompiling (2nd time round).
EDIT: I think i may know the problem. One sec EDIT2: I noticed I edited the bitmaps and it was editing the one in compatibily mode or whatever and not the actual one. i deleted the unedited actual one and only left the edited one to be used, but the problem remains -_- EDIT3: I messed around, and ended up deleting the appdata versions, editing the normal ones in guerilla, then going BACK to appdata, cutting the two bitmaps from there and pasting them over the normals and THEN IT WORKED. Clearly my computer doesn't like 2 versions of the same file, so for those who feel its TLDR:
edit them in guerilla, CUT the appdata "compatibility" versions, paste over Tags versions, compile. PS thanks you three, you were on the right track. Edited by Stevedoggen on Feb 7, 2013 at 12:07 AM

I had ran as admin. Read my previous post please.
I now have a different problem - the amount of bullets in the gun vs on the meter. the first shot doesn't decrease the meter, and the second last shot takes two, so although it works out, it's one bullet out for the most part. I know the alpha ratio has something to do with it How would one solve that?
PS its for the Tactical BR, so it's clip is 16 long and the ammo bar is the right number of bullets long... Edited by Stevedoggen on Feb 7, 2013 at 02:30 AM
