Hey, not sure if anyone here really used my recent tutorial on weapon creation, but I just finished uploading a follow-up tutorial.

This tutorial takes the completed weapon from the previous tutorial and adds a suppressor, an EOTech holographic sight, and some digital camo to it. Next up I think I will do a tutorial that shows how to replace the muzzle flash with a custom one.

This is the final product from the tutorial:

The playlist for this tutorial:

The playlist for the complete weapon tutorial:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHVmD-RU-fk&list=PLsYFcdY5bHyKaq_pA2nUJ1qkreXemLsnV&index=1

each tutorial has a file you can download to help you follow along, info on that is in the descriptions.

Let me know if anyone finds these usefull.

I hope it helps.

I intend to make several more. My goal is to get more people started with custom weapons. Seems like lots of people are making maps (both good and bad ones) but very few people seem to really put effort into weapons (which in my opinion are probably the most important part)

Do you have tutorials animation in third person? I need to know how to animate Grunts with weapons that can knock melee and have at least three animations as they only have one for all weapons.

I havn't made any tutorials on 3rd person animations yet... but I will add it to my mental to-do list.

I recommend you start at the beginning of the tutorial, but if you don't want to then here is a rough list of whats what:

For the complete custom weapon tutorial:
videos 1-6 cover modelling the weapon.

videos 7-9 cover unwrapping (goes over a little into 10 as well).

videos 10-17 cover texturing.

videos 18-26 cover animation (goes over a few minutes into 27).

videos 27-29 cover sound FX and tagging.

The follow-up tutorial adds rails, camo, a supressor, and a useable holographic sight to the weapon from the first tutorial (models and textures). It also changes out the firing sound for a suppressed fire sound, and adjusts the animation for looking down the sights.

The tutorial is long, but walks you through literally every single step of the process, so its not as hard as it seems. If you have ANY questions along the way then by all means feel free to ask me.

Thank you very much considering it, I have seen many models of animation that makes me want to give them a setting.

no problem, although you will have to be a little patient. I have several things on my to do list that are ahead of your request. (already agreed to do a muzzle flash tutorial that someone else requested next)
