Hi there,if anybody remember me,i was member of [H3style] alongside with Zigadirasu.
Since i serve at the army now i dont have any time for mapping anymore. but when im at home i do keep playing HaloCE.

My question is,
why 90% of the halo ce players keep using the original maps all the time?
if that so,why do this community keep creating MP maps?

My suggestion is,
First of all,dont flame me,its just a suggestion.
before i left mapping, i thought about collecting all of the original maps
and to make of them kind of "Anniversary" editions
What does that mean?
just replacing some textures
using Cmt`s tags for example. using the H3 HUD or CMT`s.
the purpose here is not to make another H3 BLOOD GLUCH or something.
just to upgrade the whole original MP maps with the current assets this community has now.

and most important,ADVERTISE THAT.

most of they just download halo custom edition and play it,others dont even know that you can add custom maps,others dont even know halomaps and download halo from taringa and other pages,others people have problem for add custom maps,other delete their halo and install it again but they dont bother on download new maps again and play with the normals,there are many reasons for it...

and i think that most of the people just make mp/sp maps because they like to do it,think about it nobady here get paid for make maps so why should they keep making maps?obviously,because they want to do it,they like/love to do it or have a goal to do....etc looking it on that way not everyone looks influenced if alot of people play custom maps or the normals ones...of course...that is just my opinion...with my crapy english xD

I blame the fact you have to change your settings to show custom maps.

You can't join servers with "custom" maps.

Obviously,you can't join because you don't have the map.

So,why bother showing custom maps,right?

So you can see what people are playing, and then go download it?

Keep Blaming,cuz i made it not to filter the custom maps.

It was just my opinion,its not a request. i know that its about putting a lot of time and effort for making maps.
this community has so much to show,which is can bring even more people to this game community.
Upgrading the classic maps and giving them the modern,custom/ripped assets and tags,would grab even more players to that 12 years old game.

halo anniversary was terrible.

Also, no auto-map download feature like in OS 3.1 and halo 2

because nobody is hosting non-dedicated servers anymore, and the ones that do don't forward ports so nobody can join them...

If you plan on hosting your own game, and you have internet from Clear, cancel first, you can't forward ports with their modems.
