Hey guys, I just got back into animating again, after that Deagle disaster, but I am quite confused on whether the viewport camera is what shows up ingame or the render. I started on a halo reach shotgun and got nice results for my breathing and idle animation but the render is quite different from the view port I am animating in. Here is two pictures: Which one is correct? Thanks -Jack Here is an enlarged view of the first one if needed:

press Shift+F to enable viewport render mode. this will enable a yellow box that resizes the viewport to match the render resolution's ratio.

Because you're animating in a widescreen format (something like 16:9 or 16:10), but you're rendering in what looks to be a 4:3 ratio (ex: 800x600).
It's a confusing and hard thing we animators have to deal with. Personally I always shoot to make my origins look good in both 4:3 and 16:9 so everyone gets the best they can, since not everyone has a widescreen monitor.
