Stop being so against Halo 4. It is in NO WAY a rip off of COD. The Campaign was a blast. And the MP isn't to bad, but is worse than the other halo games. All that needs to be done is weapons added through the maps. This is part of the factor that made Halo MP. I don't really mind ordnance but Weapon classes have to go. IMO Halo 4 is better than Halo 2 Halo 3's and Reach's campaign.

A ripoff of COD would be iron sites, UAV, Support ships, knifing, etc. The only thing that is similar to COD is sprinting and ordnance.

I have also played and completed each crysis campaign. Warhead was the best IMO. 1 was good, 2 just lost it. I will admit I felt like I was playing Halo at times, it has pretty much the same variant of enemies. The linear level style was a huge disappointment, along with the loss of all the characters from the past game. You can probably expect the same thing in crysis 3. It was a whole lot more fun fighting giant alien warships and flying squids than aliens that can do the same things a human can do.

Halo 4 was not a rip off of CoD. But I wouldnt call the game a 'blast' or amazing or anything of the sort. Halo 4 was okay at best, the campaign was very short, dull, and linear. Level design wasn't special, not saying it was bad, but it wasn't so spectacular that any level became very memorable. The character design was stepped up, but it was stepped up so much that the characters felt very out of place from what we've known them for in the past so it was akward. The Forerunner background and story was also very stupid I found personally and ruined the immersion and mystery that Bungie had created for them in the past games.

And I also agree, Halo 4's multiplayer is by far the worst. Halo 2's was amazing, Halo 3's was alright. What made Halo 2's great was the levels and their design, every single map is very memorable and fun, and like L0d3man said the games ranking system wasn't a cake walk to becoming top dog.

This is of course in your opinion Higuy as my opinion is the exact contrary. I thought the campaign was alright, brilliant at times and trivial at others, the level design was aesthetically pleasing and really the only disappointing one for me was the Broadsword one, and that the campaign as a whole is a "pilot" episode to sell the rest of the series, which is what the beginning of a trilogy is supposed to do (just like HCE did way back when). I have yet to play multiplayer, so that opinion is still reserved. However, I contest that Halo 2's MP was not really that great besides BTB and casual games. The BR as the ultimate weapon was simply too much. Halo 3 almost rectified that with AR spawns until the vocal minority wanted BR Starts. Then it really went from potent to alright. This is my opinion, of course.

Lore-wise, I could agree with you to an extent. I'm getting more used to it and the Forerunner characters themselves are actually pretty accurate. The only irritations I have is the whole "there used to be ancient Humanity" sentiment and how the Flood was created. The Flood is still terrifying, mind you, but it's not as menacing as before now that we know its origin. I just hate how it's an absolute Sci-Fi cliche that there has been an ancient humanity long before our time that ruled amongst the stars.

As far as art design, I'd really like it if it came more back to Western art rather than Eastern/Anime-ish art. I read that the art design was really Easter/Anime inspired and I haven't been able to not see it since, which isn't bad at all (I like a lot of Eastern stuff), but Halo was a very Western art design before the switch. Just saying it'd be nice to have them both meet at a crossroads.

I thought the music was fantastic (and I still listen to it on a daily basis now), but the audio for the guns is way to similar between human and covenant weapons. I want my Covenant sounds back. :(

@DarkHalo

Yes those are my opinions

as for the music of the game, I didn't find it to fit any style of Halo what soever, however some tracks were very well done. Some others through just kinda felt like filler to me and most of the 'filler' tracks all sounded the same after a while.

And for H2 MP, the level design was just fantastic, even on ranked matches. To this date I can still name every single map, know their layouts, etc. I can't say the same about Halo 3, Reach, or Halo 4, and I haven't even played Halo 2 in a very long time compared to those 3. I'd also like to point out the ultimate weapon in Halo 2 was really the smg + pr :p (imo)

don't forget the dual needlers XD. for me its kind of a toss up between halo 2 and 3 for me odst is also just behind the two. i had a ton of fun playing all three but i have better memories playing halo 2 than the other two. the multiplayer was great and the dual wielding was an amazing addition to the game. halo 3 was also a lot of fun but i didn't play it a much.

on the last day for halo 2 online me and a bunch of my friends got together and had a party to celebrate the last moments of an awesome game.

one thing I don't like about halo 2 multiplayer in general (or it could just be the servers that are currently up) is that team fights usually degenerate into "GET BATTLE RIFLE, SHOOT HEAD, WIN". no weapon variety allowed with the BR around :C

That is called team shooting, and it was a great tactic. Don't tell me halo 1 wasn't using pistol/snipe and rockets. Not sure what game you played, but games in team hardcore (massive try hard playlist, and I was a rank 41 in it) on sanctuary had a lot of weapon variety. From the initial rush for your sniper and trying to get sword in middle. You couldn't really sit in the middle of sanctuary without sword or sniper. If you got pushed back far enough, you could use the turret(as long as you had someone cover you from their sniper) shotun or plasma pistol to get then off your spawn, and that's just one map. Half the game was SMG starts, and BRs were rarely placed on maps.

I just want an in-game explanation of why the CEPH aren't cybernetic anymore...

The CEPH never were. Even in the first game, if you played it, the words "first strike" and "They're making... machines" were used. Put those two things together and you get first strike machines. The CEPH used that lager mechanical army to do the first assault. Did you forget about when you were inside the mountain. Having to kill all those dang squid in the complex? Well those were the actual CEPH.

Crytek's official explaination was that they were never really cybernetic, but instead they were squid-like creatures that made exosuits similar to the Nanosuit or MJOLONIR Suit. In Crysis 2, It's also revealed that Hargreave took the Ceph's Technology at Tunguska and recycled it to make the Nanosuit, as well as an "anti-ceph" sort of spore. The reason that the Ceph that you fight in Crysis 2 and onward are bipedial is because that they are different types of Ceph, something similar to the flood forms. Think of the Crysis 1 Ceph as Flood Combat forms and Crysis 2+ Ceph as The Advanced/Pure forms in Halo 3.

Back to the topic however, i've had the chance to play the Crysis 3 MP Alpha, and have had the chance to use the Ceph weaponry, and i must say, this entire thread is useless and false. The Ceph weapons dont "form" in your hands, they adjust to be used by a human. The Ceph have made their guns so that they can adjust to the user's body type and arm structure. Along with this, the gun doesnt have ANY floating bits, nor does it have any of the light rifle's major designs (with the exception of maybe the scope's placement). The Back "fins" of the gun wrap around the forearm of the user, the Scope comes out from a flap on the upper area of the gun, and the barrel is static.

The Halo 4 Light Rifle however, is made out of several components that fly around and "snap" into place after. The Scope hovers over and is closer to the back of the gun, whereas the Crysis weapon is closer to the center (taking into account the forearm mount). The Light rifle also has an empty sector where the beam holds, where the Crysis gun has a completely closed off barrel and interior, but sporting 2 moving coils to (possibly) supercharge the projectile before firing.

TLDR: Close the thread
