I'll be completely honest; I was joking around when I mentioned an Xbox 720. they can't be serious; 2 different consoles, one for commercial games and one for apps? Imagine the confusion.

So, basically, you would have something like this:
Xbox 720 Basic ($150) - For TV, entertainment, web, and downloadable applications Xbox 720 Ultimate ($400) - For all aspects of entertainment, including all the latest gaming titles I bet the final product will look something similar to this, based on how Micro$oft usually handles their stuff. The Basic would look like an Apple TV or Boxee, while the Ultimate would look like a slimmed-down Xbox 360 with a disc tray. |

They want the xbox brand to be like the windows brand. Xbox Music, Xbox Surface, Xbox "Apple TV", Xbox Game Console.

Well that's what the low end one will be, a 99$ish box that can display basic content and services in order to gain markeshare in the living room.
