im working on a firefight map with opensauce and i wanted to use this:

for an initial cutscene and occasional ground support, i already have the model thanks to ptowrey, but i would like to have the normal maps so that i may put it up to snuff with the rest of the map.

so if someone has them or would kindly extract all the bitmaps for it that would be great.

i would do this myself but i would rather not torrent odst just to get one or two bitmaps.

Here are the maps sir:

Specifically you'll need these two from here: https://xboxdb.access.dyn-net.com/0000000001/files-DB/web/Default.asp.net?act=category&id=52 (shared and main menu),
then you need to get the map called campaign from here https://xboxdb.access.dyn-net.com/0000000001/files-DB/web/Default.asp.net?act=category&id=51
also using the above link to get the map in which the vehicle is stored in.

So, in total you'll have shared.map, mainmenu.map, campaign.map, and the map that has the vehicle. Four files.

i already know about winserv and i would do it myself if at all possible but the odst maps cannot be downloaded at this time, at least by me

if you can, could you download uplift reserve, and the campaign/shared maps for me and upload them to mediafire or something then pm me the link?

why, i can actually get good looking results with the stuff

please leave altheros i would rather not have this turn into a flame war.


i'm still going to use opensauce beacuse of the new functions and extra tag space, plus i like how the new shaders look


to get this back on track could anyone upload the bitmaps for me because the maps are not able to be downloaded from winserv and i would rather not have to torrent all of odst just to get them.

ok then not what i expected, looks like i'm going to be baking some normal maps, thanks for the help.

could you post the diffuse map as well so that i may use it because the one i have right now is really cruddy quality.



aha i see the detail map is tiled cool i geuss i don't have to after-all, but i will anyway.

that specific one is a scenery, i have one that is animated but i need to redo the animations because they suck.

From What I can tell, that normal has been tiled over the texture as if it was a plane.

why use mudbox when blender can do the same thing, no need for a ton of overly large programs. i only use 3ds max to put stuff ingame and animateonly because animations cannot carry over between two programs-_-

not quite... you may like my map design when its finished,

sooo

would like to snag this as well.

if at all possiable could someone upload the map files including campaign/shared to mediafire so that i dont have to continue to bother you people about all this. after extracting all the stuff ill post a big model and texture pack so that others may use them.

have plans to completely animate it as well.

you technically didn't give it to me, i was watching some odst gameplay because i was wanting to get references for my firefight map, and noticed that i had seen those jets before, i looked them up and then realized it was in the map you released with those unfinished h3 pelicans. so i grabbed the tags and started editing them to what i needed.

if you could get me the model and bitmaps for that pelican that would be awesome.

i plan to release the map unproected so you can all use the tags later,

going to start the bsp today and probably will finish it in about 2 weeks or so, been kinda busy.

also going to start on this

edit: funny thing my bitmap converter automatically put a black background on it so i didn't need to.
