okay, so I have spent the past TWO FREAKING MONTHS trying to get a single working tagset ingame. However, I have encountered one exception after another, each one more perplexing with fixes more time consuming than the next. I am far beyond my wits end. If someone could please, for the love of god just give me a classic tagset, just a tags folder with the halo 1 tagset, that has been tested in sapien and opens correctly with little to no errors so I can stop ripping my hair out and giving myself ulcers, I would be overjoyed. Well overjoyed is an understatement. Let's just say if I could finally open a scenario in sapien I'd literally start jumping up and down clapping and cheering, then partake in a 30 minute long break dancing session.
I'm pretty much borderline suicidal right now so if anyone could help me out I'd be infinitely olbiged, like massage your nasty feet for 3 years obliged

You could just reinstall hek, it worked for me when I screwed something up.

I read 3 things, none of which seem likely, but did work for others. 1 Reboot your pc ( i assume you have done this in the last 2 months) 2 Delete the tags and data folder when reinstalling. 3 I didnt read this one but could it have something to do with the version of vorbis.dll or similar files you are using? or are those only used for compiling sounds and not playing them?

What sapien have you been using? I once had an old dual core computer that at-night would run Halo in [like..] fastForward. It would also crash until I patched sapien to use only one core using this program. I now use that program to run all old games that I choose to still play, so mine is in my system32 folder :)

Edited by Delicon20 on Sep 17, 2012 at 11:23 PM That error is saying that one of your sounds has a gain greater than 1. Start going through your sound tags.

It looks like a sound card or dll issue. Make sure you have good dlls installed and that you have the latest drivers.

Not a sound card issue. That first error is quite common - I get it all the time on my old computer.
The last line there is what is important. The gain on ALL sounds must be greater than 0 but less than 1. Unfortunately they don't tell you which sound tag is the offender, so you have to do that search yourself.
EDIT: I just dealt with this same error myself. Sapien was throwing errors for the heck of it. Have you tried restarting your computer? Edited by Ermac on Sep 30, 2012 at 10:33 AM
