Here is an update about what is new and some things that are going to be added and removed.

Intensity:

Removed Halo reach assault rifle and replaced with Halo 3 assault rifle for the main starting weapon.
Halo 3 Assault rifle is now the primary starting weapon.
Halo 3 battle rifle replaced into Halo 3 magnum for the secondary starting weapon.
New BSP (Desert styled map)
More scenery
Vehicles
Sniper camping spots (for those who like to use snipers only)
Map is huge for More intense gameplay
Weapons are now in more consistant HUD
New HUD Messages (I'm trying to figure out how to change)

That's all I have right now.More updates coming soon.

Release date of Intensity (Not final version)

Protected maps are fun to rip... Not that I do that of course...

And and btw for the campers... Impossible. Every place I found to be a camping spot can be either run over, killed by another camper, generally killed from behind (especially the cave camping zone). Any whom everything is countered by something that can be counter by something else. Hey I made a loop :D

EDIT- I made a good, errorless version of the BSP and chucked some random junks in the map for testing perposes. the scarab is just for kicks and the banshee on the base in to make it look goodly. :D

just BTW im no modeler. I am doing this because I like to help. :D

needs moar smoothing, or something to hide those edges...

also, what is the shape of the map?

Ok, I'll smooth it all.

It's shaped like an E but one of the lines in the E bends and touches the other. Ill post a pic later.

I'm having trouble adding water for the overlook. It's textured correctly as "water!$" without the quotes and when I export it tool tells me I have 4 edges open so I import the .WRL and it has coloured edges around the plane. :(

Other than that its going well, adding more caves and details now...

But every one of them is purposely there and has something to counteract the spot. (And that new spot can be countered by another spot... Sort of like a circle... But with all the lines of symmetry.

Anyhow... I have had help with the water... I made a plane, textured it correctly and it had open edges. Haloextreme told me to add another plane underneath it. Than didn't work. Altheros said to do it again without the extra plane... That.... Sort of worked... But didn't. Now I dunno what to do. D:

I also watched a tutorial... Did EXACTLY everything that was there... But didn't work. :(

Can someone plz help.

I really hate to break it to you, but that is almost as bad as the alpha build

for one, it is far too big, you need to make it accessible for people who don't have vehicles
it's also very bland

you assets are ok (from what I can see), but your bsp is bad.

you need to find a better way to confine the player besides enclosing them in a dirt box

add some hills, or crests, put some trees in the background.


what it needs:
-find a better way to keep the player in the map, make the environment believable
-you need to make the layout more complex, and more natural
-make it smaller, much smaller
-add cover for people on foot
-add side paths or tunnels for people on foot to traverse without worrying about vehicles (but don't make them too long)

If you want, I can make a sketch

Boxy map is boxy.
I suggest using heightmaps instead of boxes.

Correction... The map is still an entire WIP.

Question... Why no add sceneries? It make the map look bland compared to my messing about with trees. (Can I post a pic or two of my variation?)

The video says its an update but I see nothing except a landscape and a blood gulch base.

Ill add hills and routes and how mush smaller should it be? I like the original version of THIS bsp when it was sand, it made everything look natural.

I dunno what to add though, I had no plan so I just modeled around a bit. Suggested some stuff because I convinced Elite to make it a custom bsp. All the plan I got when we started was... "A big map with caves and a secret room", so I have trying to expand the plan by making it a desert, adding walkways on the cliff and even making a cliff base... Which wasn't even in the pictures.
I need a plan, more information and an actual layout of the level.

Sorry for being an ass (well not as much as some people here, but for me I'm being an ass) I'm not in a patient mood.

As we are busy working on the map,I plan to release three versions the map such as Intensity,Intensity v2 and Intensity Elites.

hello again, heres an update for the BSP...
-added water and water fog.
-added some ways to get around on foot.
-smoothies... <in progress>... is there an easy way to make it smoother and natural... other than just going into vertex view and fiddling with the blue berries. (verts).

You used http://cooltext.com to make a logo. Any particular reason?
It would be much better if you used Photoshop, especially if you need to modify it in the future.

At what point does photoshop close? Upon startup, while your creating your image or when you're trying to save it?
