I LOVE HALO!

hi, a friend have some problems with the first person of a weapon that he make, but when he put in Halo ce shows nothing,only weapon hud.


Edit:the weapon is a energy sword.

maybe you need to move the weapon around so that it actually fits inside the vision range for the weapon. I think halo views first person animations from the center of the scene (where the two black lines intersect) so you might need to try moving the scene just in front of that area

If the animations aren't compatible with the fp model,it won't appear.Make sure the weapon works with the animations.

Defiantely sounds like a problem with your first person animations. Did you make your own animations, or are you trying to use existing animations?

SORRY! I didn't want to bump this, but it beats making a duplicate thread. I have the same problem and I'm using the plasma rifle animations and bones with my own custom model, all the nodes are linked to the right parts to the geometry. (I have different objects because idk how to properly rig). There is one bone that has nothing linked to it.

I just googled it and found this, which was unanswered so here I am.

EDIT - but then again... What if I forgot to change the name of the frame node back to frame gun after export... And what if it works now. (This post was pointless)
