I have been modding for some year now, done all on my old computer that has Windows XP. Everything has worked perfectly well. I kept all the Halo files on external hard drive.
I recently bought a new desktop PC with Windows 7.
I use admin rights on everything related to modding, as well as compatibly mode (Windows XP SP2). Everything works fine. Except one thing.
I can't use the arrows to move objects in Sapien. Rotating arrows work fine. I can use cordinates or click-n-drag to move objects around. But the axis-arrows n the object won't work. Obviously debug.txt has nothing on this.
How could I fix this? Edited by porottaja on Aug 4, 2012 at 04:50 PM

yeah i know the feeling, i installed win7, then after 1 and a half days i formatted. back to xp pro.
anyway enough about that fail os.
open a .scenario in sapien, place an item or select a placed item. then in the tool window uncheck the gravity box. go back to the item you want to move and use the arrows, you should now see the line show up when you put the cursor on the arrows. Edited by ally on Aug 4, 2012 at 05:30 PM

Windows 7 is the next generation's windows xp. I wouldn't say that windows 7 is a fail os. It is much more stable than xp where you have to reformat every year or so. Edited by XlzQwerty1 on Aug 16, 2012 at 09:18 PM

Edited by ally on Aug 4, 2012 at 05:30 PM So that OS sucks just because you can't move things on Sapien? I can move things just fine and I have win7. Get a f`ucking clue. okay numpty, so i need to get a clue? do you not understand my post, maybe you didn't read it properly? where did i say that i didn't like win7 because of anything to do with sapien? i agreed that everything worked fine on xp, so where's the problem with that? also this isn't a windows forum so i didn't mention why i didn't keep win7 on my pc. yes i'm back on xp, dual booting a version of linux. i hope no one pays or paid private for your education when you can't understand a simple post. :) goodnight.
