As some of you halomaps natives may know, Halo CEA has been out for a while now, and even more of you know that it's a revamp of the original XBOX Halo game (not PC, there's no Flamethrower\Fuel Rod.) I'm sure most of you have noticed that 343I used some assets from older Halo games (Shotgun, Assault Rifle, Magnum) and some new ones. Basically this project type thing is a weakhearted attempt at recreating that. Yes, it's a re-make of a re-make, but who needs to be original these days? This could be considered a HCEA attempt, although I won't necessarily stay true to the revamp as I am copying the IDEA of bettering the Halo tagset, and not copying the assets themselves (although I may use the very same ones). I plan to keep most weapons the same, the only exception being the more superficial and aesthetic changes. TL;DR I has HCEA mod. I would say I already have some significant progress which I will now show in this thread. HUD I WOULD copy the HCEA HUD, but I don't want to because I've already made a higher res version of the default HUD and I see no reason to go through that again (see my rant on not exactly copying CEA) WEAPONS Assault Rifle. Ported over from Halo 3 and fixed up with particle effects, 3p LODs and all the junk it needs. I plan to add 3p magazine ejections sometime this week for all weapons. Magnum Still needs effects and some fancy sounds. Right now it's just the model. Sniper Rifle Lol, it's just the model, and it looks ugly to me aswell. I might replace it with Brokes Gauss sniper. Plasma Pistol Just the model so far, I slightly edited the overcharge projectile impact effects to be more like reach with the EMP shockwave. Shotgun Halo 3 model. Might use CMTs new shotgun as a replacement. I might add zoom to all the weapons. It's a feature I feel all games should have. CMT fp arms. Frag\Plasma\Rocket particles (by ImBrokeRU) http://www.xfire.com/video/58c2ef/ Been fixing things that should have been done long ago... LODs for the Halo 3 Assault Rifle. (To be used for the H3 and HCEA mods) It's only proper that this is done, and I'll do it for the other weapons as well. I porked the UVs on the middle model. This also has its own collision.  Credit to the respective creators of these tags. I don't know if this even deserves its own thread, but others might want to help and get something out of this. All this junk will be released anyway, it's just a side project. All criticism and comments are welcome. Perhaps someone has been working on something similar and could use these tags. Some notesCMT fp arms are probably placeholder. I chose them because they look like the H1 arms, but obviously they are not. I haven't rigged all weapons yet. I might use the Halo 3 rocket launcher model and Plasma Rifle. I want to keep this in-house, but anyone can contribute and take. Still need to improve some particle effects, mostly impacts. Make sure you fixed the horrid rigging of the AR to the FP that the HCEA people did. I still can't play HCEA with the AR because of that error. Reason why: I could fix it in 10 minutes.

I feel that this isn't much different from cmt's spv1. What this looks like here is just the same single player with some rather near the same/upgraded models. If we look at how HCEA was made/design, they were focusing on what if the game levels were graphically remade top down with current gen graphics. but retained all the exact kind of game play as its 10 year predecessor did. I'm aware of your mad modding skills and creations. xD But for a project like this I would like to put out that things have to pretty much be nearly redesign. I also have a problem with the custom models being mash up into one single player. You have a really good plasma pistol shiny and all lustered up, but the other weapons don't have the same design or feel of it. The weapons designs don't all look like it was made to be one set. It would be real nice to have everything be design to one epic HD style. Now something like that can truly be called a tribute. I'm hoping not seeing halo's campaign be equivalently made like a modded blood glutch map. No offense I really dig your stuff, but if this project was to happen I hope its not heading in the wrong direction.

True. Now that you look at these screenshots, the plate-like thing on the front of the shotgun looks unnatural and out-of-place.
I mean other than that, CMT being CMT, they're awesome. Maybe it was hard to notice just because "Truth and Reconciliation" was such a dimly-lighted map?
