I'd simply like to be able to keep correct scales with automatic funcions when unwrapping on a wide bitmap, because it's more convenient in my case :D

Just simply go into vertice mode and rescale the parts that are distorted.

Would you mind posting your 'way'? Some other people may have the same questions.

You're right, but What i did is not very good and i dont want to spread bad methods and prevent finding better ones.

Anyway, i rendered a Wireframe on a square bitmap, made a new rectangular,
placed the wireframe images as i wanted on the rectangle
Imported in the 3ds uv editor, and rescaled the unwrapping using the texture as reference.

Or you could apply a checker bitmap (because thats why its there) to the model and adjust the uvw till it looks square.

Do you know how to move uvw's a complete set across? Like say the bitmap is 512x512, and the uvw is not in the center, but to the right. How can I move it perfectly left to the center?

No idea... I had this problem. You mean having the uv on a different tile than the middle one ?
