OK, so, being the not-so-expert on sound files, I always seem to run into the problem where when I create music tags (a .sound and a .sound_looping for it, set to music type) they play ingame, but will sometimes randomly stop and restart in the heat of an exchange of gunfire/grenades/etc. I'm wondering if there's a certain method that I could use to create restart-proof music tags, much like Bungie's. Thanks again. Edited by MoooseGuy on Jun 5, 2012 at 03:50 AM

Yeah I have the fade values in there, and it loops properly, the only issue that I can't seem to figure out is the influence of other gameplay sounds randomly interrupting and restarting the track.
It usually happens when I'm taking damage or there is some kind of projectile impact. Is there possibly something I could do regarding those sounds? Edited by MoooseGuy on Jun 5, 2012 at 02:42 PM

I've heard of a "stops music" flag, so maybe that's it. This happens to me too lol.

music and dialogue should be ogg effects, background sound, impulses, and sound scenery should be xbox adpcm
I have yet to find a stock sound that uses wav files. Maybe it is just for development purposes and they are meant to stop all other sounds so that you can hear and fine-tune them?
