Sorry, but this game is a very far cry from Halo 2. It is no longer a true Halo game. It is Call of Duty on steroids, with some Halo characters, weapons and storyline.

From my perspective, it's looking a lot like the cut throat nature of Halo 2's multiplayer.

I'm sorry but am I the only one who remembers a small part of an announcement a while back which stated that they had plans for a Halo 3 PC as well as H3 Custom Edition? I'm thinking 343 will turn out to treat us more kindly than Bungie. Edited by The Cereal Killer on Apr 9, 2012 at 09:07 PM

From my perspective, it's looking a lot like the cut throat nature of Halo 2's multiplayer. If you seriously read any of that you are horribly wrong. I suppose interpretations are different. I see multiplayer (not the release or launch media) being comparable to Halo 2's competitive mindset. Regardless, I don't see anything like "Call of Duty on steroids." It's the modern take on how FPS games should be played according to the majority of players on XBL playing CoD and BF3. Halo has strive in the market to survive. Deal with it. Quote: with some Halo characters, weapons and storyline And I take this part of the statement as nonsensical, thoughtless, and relatively inflammatory. ALL HAIL THE MA5!!!! While I agree, I think the MA5 is a piece of garbage at killing things, they need to make it better. I thought it was very effective in Reach once you knew how to use it. Hell, I switched using the DMR to using the AR most of the time because I figured the best way to time and place my shots. It makes me wonder how the AR will perform in Halo 4 though. I still hope it retains the reticule bloom in the crosshair simply because it made aiming so much better with the AR.

I highly doubt it'll be added to Halo 4, but I'd have loved if they had implemented iron sights into the Halo games. I dunno how that'd work, exactly, given the designs of some of the weapons, but I just feel so... imprecise when I'm firing from the hip.

Having iron sights would both simultaneously be awesome and bad. Awesome because firing from iron sights is way more fun and bad because that's uncharacteristic of every halo game ever.

The only problem with iron sights that I see is that it is uncharacteristic of Spartans in general; they are such highly trained soldiers that they are as accurate as possible without aiming down sights, which would only slow them down.

Quote: --- Original message by: Private CabooseQuite honestly, as long as Halo 4 has these things in it, I'll buy myself a TV and a 360 just for the game. - No armour Abilities
Already confirmed to be in game - No loadouts whatsoever
Already confirmed to be in game - Dual Weilding for SP ONLY
- Toggle Nightvision/Flashlight
- Editing kit
only for 360, not gonna happen - A blank forge slate larger than Forge World
- Decent storyline
- AutoHack detection/banning
that comes standard with any game that has online MP - Yoyorast and Lumoria DLC's
not gonna happen - Customizable bloom properties
- Original Halo Feel

In other words..this is not a game you will be getting. I am little bit more excited after carefully reading through the article. I honestly couldn't care less about how the game looks. If the story is there, If it feels real. Then this will be a game that I am getting.

Edited by JimDaRulah on Apr 10, 2012 at 06:03 PM Yoyorast Island is awesome. Plus Yoyorast himself offered to work on Halo 4. ;) Lumoria is also awesome. Doubt the team'd agree to work on Halo 4 though.

343 sounds like it's being trained by Microsoft specifically to promote the game.
There are two possibilities from this. They could either say
"Hey, this sounds like a great idea! Plus we could then advertise that we support the community!" or "Sorry, but we're not allowed to allow user maps due to attempting to avoid ever supporting the community in any way. We wish to avoid being cool people that like modding because we're only really in it for the money."

Sure, Yoyorast Island is awesome, but does it really fit with the current theme of the Halo franchise?

Sure, Yoyorast Island is awesome, but does it really fit with the current theme of the Halo franchise? You don't even know what the current theme of the Halo franchise is! Plus the map can be RETEXTURED and the models can be changed to a different style in order to accomodate the new theme of Halo 4 anyway! I'm sure yoyorast wouldn't mind if the ramps in his map were changed from human to forerunner or to covenant in order to accomodate Halo 4's 'style'. Edited by Jaz on Apr 11, 2012 at 04:42 PM

For the love of... Yoyorast island is not going to be in Halo 4, and neither is any other of the CE communities maps or projects, period, end of story.
Why are we arguing about this?

Why are we arguing about this? We're not. I find the fact that anyone would even see a tiny, tiny, microscopic chance that it would ever happen hilarious. I doubt Microsoft even knows about the Halomaps community, let alone Yoyorast.
