So progress.

There are 6 "Rally Points" in Takedown. 1 is finally 100% complete

so in other words I guess you can say Takedown is 16% done. But this number will move very fast lol Just finishing up things and to see some parts of the map already go final is nice

Let me rephrase that. Takedown is 16% Final. (1/6=16% for you dummies)

Please, stop with the posts. It's okay to ask when a map is ready, but not when the map is either just mentioned, or is being drawn up.

A little sneak peak at a part of Project Lawson that doesn't take place at Danger Canyon!!!! :O :O

BSP modeled by killzone64. And then I edited it a bit



UV and Textures are WIP. Leave feedback for them though

Also with this ingame I still have a good amount of tagspace so I think I'll be good in that. So no OS version in other words since I'll be able to fit most of it in one. I'll try at least for no OS. No promises

Getting out of the boxed room looks like it'd be an insanely hard maneuver for Pelican pilots...

The bsp looks good, the just little thing you need to change is the unwrap (WIP I know :). And Yeah, for the pelican, it's hard to pilot the pelican in a medium room.

it wouldn't be too hard, the pelicans are actually quite maneuverable you would be suprised the places you can get the things.

@matthewdratt if you want you could sent me back the edited model and your textures and i can redo the UV's if you would like.

Takedown: Project Lawson will (unfortunately) will be a .yelo file.

This does not mean that I will not be release .maps, but any beta testers will need OS installed.

Now that I am out of tagspace I will continue making the map using .yelo support, then once finish split the map up before release. This may involve 2-3 .map files, (currently unsure) that will play one after another if all are installed. The .yelo file will be all the map files in one.

There are other ways to get around tagspace I believe, although probably not stable solutions.

Probably my BSPs. And there is no way I can fit it all into a single map file. I would try and cram it down but I just cannot do it and I'm not going to start cutting parts from the map to do so.

TD:PL contains a lot of custom animations as well so that probably screws me over there

Also tool says I still have like 3mb of tag space for tags so it's not my tags :\

Here is my I'm sorry screenshot for non OS users that need to install multiple maps now :( Here is a question though to those people, would you rather want 3 .map files with the full experience or 2 .map files but with (probably unnoticeable) things cut from the level or downgraded? Not saying I'll need 3 .maps but if it comes down to it...

The Spartan seems to have a problem with gripping his weapon (look at his left hand)

I think you should probably have 2 map files.

Looks like you're just using too much space...
4M is like a 32bit color bitmap, 1024x1024, try to get rid of all of them by recompiling them as compressed with explicit (or not) alpha.
