From the readme and the manual and the release announcement post: Quote: Special note: if you're getting low FPS, the manual has a section with tips on how to get better performance. Here's a short version if you are lazy: -Disable motion blur (CMT extras or pp_motion_blur_enabled false in console) -Disable FXAA (CMT extras or pp_fxaa_enabled false in console) -Disable all postprocessing (pp_unloade in console) -Decrease texture quality (video settings menu) -Decrease screen resolution (video settings menu)

Imo disabling all that stuff takes away alot of what SPv3 is about... Might as well just play the non OS version then?

HELP.........................PLEASE Edited by Caboose 14 on Mar 3, 2012 at 10:16 AM When I was using OpenSauce, I cranked up the gfx on my graphics card... lagging me too. Set all the defaults on your graphics card, and it should work. E. What graphics card do you have? ATI Radeon 6700 series? If so, then that's the one I have too. Best thing you can do? Switch to XP. Win 7 along with pretty much any other MS product since XP is complete garbage. It's ridiculous you windows users still have to deal with registries and disk defrags.

It's ridiculous you windows users still have to deal with registries and disk defrags. Since Vista and 7 it defrags it in the background automatically every so often. Don't see the big deal about registries, don't have any troubles with them like ever. That said it's a "heavier" Operating System to run. But telling people to go back to XP just for this is insane. I get the impression OS itself needs to be more optimised. That's the best starting point for the dev.

I've discovered that we are missing certain optimizations in some of our more high poly models, this is going to be fixed in the next map releases. In the meantime, one bullet to the head to your ODSTs should do the trick.

go to control panel/system and security them view amount of ram and processor speed. on the side bar click advanced system settings, and then click the setting bar under performance. check the adjust for best performance box and apply, this will definitely improve your computers speed.

My win7 won't uninstall stuff properly now. It can't find an installer that doesn't exist to uninstall a file that also doesn't exist. Go figure.

finally I switched my computer to XP desktop settings for performance, gamebooster 3 (Thanks Delicon20), and turned off all of the effects in SPV3. It still looks good with the bloom. Lag has been fixed.
