ok, the subject says it all. i need a team of a few people who would help me at makeing a map. i dont know about anything about makeing a map except for putting vehicles in existing maps. anyways so, i need people who know how to make A.I.'s that only shoot the other team(my friends AI's shoot everyone), and makeing a track for hogs to travel one, etc. if you wanna help, reply.

As for the AI Shooting, in the script for the map put in: (ai_allegiance human player)
This will make the human team (ODST, Marine, or whatever you want for your team) not shoot you, and shoot only the other AI.

What exactly is the idea of this map? The theme?

You see, there are people with different skills. I know for a definite fact that TM and the Flood campaign team has some very good forerunner modellers, though you probably won't get them.

Telloing people the theme would eb an easier way to get more skilled people in.

I need a team for making a map. The basis of the map is that it is set in the tunnels under the surface on Installation 04, and it will be very intense close combat.

ok, the map is for teaching newbies in the game all the shortcuts, tricks, and practice battle, etc. anyways, u take all the basic maps, and put them together in 1 map large enough to hold 2 of everymap, with AI on red for half, and blue for the other half. u know how its anoyting when u have a map a friend doesnt and he needs to download, so u can show him the trick, u could use this map for that kinda stuff without downloading the other map yet. and the tracks would be for traveling between maps. for ctf. it would be cheep if u just used a tleporter between maps and were playing ctf on it.

His request is simple and somewhat unintelligible but c'mon, don't label him a troll straight away.

ok, i give up on the team idea. il use the scrip for the ai. but il do it with ppl from a few clans...

Just for future reference, you don't NEED help. You can just learn by yourself. There are HEAPS of tutorials around here. ;)

I would recommend Firedragons tutorial for starters. That is what I started out with.

IP means nothing in the world of banning. Machine or MAC address is where it is at because then they have to get a new modem or new machine.

No. You can fake an IP address by using a proxy, but if the ISP you are with uses NAT (Which is highly likely in a world of limited IPV4 addresses) then you will be banned along with more users. The ISP gives you a private address which in return is NAT'd as a single public address with a port number to the internet due to limited address space. A Proxy server allows you to make it seem like you are coming from somewhere else.

When IPv6 comes in to play, banning a single IP address will be easy and manageable.

He can be anyone behind that public ip address, but you will never know his private address that the ISP assigned him.

Why do you all instantly judge someone new to the site before you even know what they are like, for all you know, he/she could of been looking around these forums for a while, picking up the courage to ask someone for help, and then you all come in and start flaming and calling him/her a troll, why don't you simply show some consideration and help the guy/girl out! it's common courtesy to show kindness to those in need, for buck sake, why can't you simply HELP someone in need, when they ASK for it?
