You gotta upload it to another image website... photobucket is a good one.
You then have to embed the url so that it displays publically. As your typing a post, there's a mountain with a sun with an arrow pointing to it. that's the image embedder.

Sigh... It was mentioned in some thread. I can't remember so I'll just tell you. First you upload the image to a image hosting site such as imageshack or flickr. Then you right click and click get image URL. Then you come here, and click post reply. Then you click on the icon that has a box with a sun and two mountains in it, with an arrow pointing at the box. Err, this one: Click Post. Voila.

You might want to render the scene than have a screen shot of the viewport.

Still wip, constructive crit onleh plz!!1! This hasn't, and never will be, funny. Mind stopping? No. I was trying to say that there really is no point in modelling a death star because it will just basically be a sphere. I bet I can model a good DS in 20 minutes, haha.

If you're trying to actually build it to scale it needs to be bigger than that. Remember, it was big enough to be mistaken for a moon ._.

It's just a shallow indention, rather than a crater. Try pushing on the side of a grape with your finger until it leaves a dent, and it'll probably be a fairly accurate representation of the Death Star's lens.

ok... since i cant really pull out the huge crater, i got this model from battlefront 2, its the cutscene model, it had no interier and shuttle bays and it was the size of a warthog, so i sized it up, added some interier (control room and the power core) and compared it to th FULL SIZED Pillar of Autumn....

Just out of curiosity.... How much of the interior do you actually plan on making?
Creating the Deathstar is an enormous task, and if you are as new to this as I am assuming that you are, then you might want to try something smaller first.
When my brother and I first started learning to make maps/weapons for Halo we thought we were going to create the city of Atlantis from Stargate: Atlantis. (If you are not familiar with the show then do an image search for "Stargate Atlantis City" its freaking huge)
After modelling the entire exterior of the city (though not very well), several of the interior rooms, one of the vehicles, and several of the weapons (all in Gmax) we found out that we couldn't get any of it in-game because we didn't have a clue what we were doing. Our models were complete garbage, we didn't know how to texture properly, Gmax can not be used to animate, and our polycounts where INSANE.
SO... I am not saying it is impossible, but it might be more difficult than you are expecting. (At least if you plan on putting it in-game.)
I would suggest watching some modelling tutorials, and starting with a small project then working up to something big... (like the planet sized space station that you are currently attempting :D)
Anyway... thats my two cents so, whatever you decide, good luck.

so maybe i will prospone... no one take my death star idea while i'm in mapping boot camp! If you want to learn how to model better I would suggest getting the student version of 3ds max. You can get it for free by registering at: http://students.autodesk.com/?nd=download_centerThen go through these video tutorials for modelling and texturing: http://www.moddb.com/downloads/model-a-3d-glock-weaponhttp://www.moddb.com/downloads/creating-a-weapon-for-sourceThey may technically be for making a weapon for Source, but they are incredibly detailed and easy to follow (if you have the patience) and they will get you started with polygon modelling instead of box modelling like most beginners. I used them to learn modelling and texturing even though I wanted to mod Halo and not Source. Hope this helps.
