Hello Halo CE community. Today i have a question for all of you guys. May i have any 3ds max (2012 or 2010) Halo 3 models that i can have that are rigged for animation and textured already (don't have to be already textured but i need the texture with it please.) I want them to start learning animations and things like that. If you say why not just use the biped rig that comes with 3ds max, well, it's because i want to make a halo animation. Please and thank you.

Just import it into 3ds max with gbxmodel importer 2.00 by the author named "the ghost".

Halo 3 Bones=/=Halo 1 Bones. The nodes/bones are seperate. You'd need to re-rig or make whole sets

I know, but even if i make new rigs (i don't really know how to), I still need to texture it. And most the textures i have for the 3d models either don't fit or doesn't really go with it. Aaaaaahhhhh... frustration....

Naming is nothing :/ But yes you do have to rename them if you dont want to rerig the entire thing.

That would be different because crysis 2 uses a different boneset completely whereas halo 3 has really similar bonesets to halo 1 since it's the same game series afterall so most animations work on newer halo models (example is Halo CEAnniversary). Sure halo 3 may have a few extra bones here and there but its nothing I can't fix :)

It's really not that hard. Just rip the masterchief texture to a .tif, import the model, place the texture on the chief, and voila. You've got your model. Since it's rigged when you import, there's really no problem.
