Who is the Overseer?

I've been wanting to upload this bloodgulch map, but I can't think of a good name. It's a total 3-way warzone between UNSC, Covenant and Flood, and the humans basically hog every vehicle on the red team. Two wraiths bombard half the map, and you can call in airstrikes with the target locator. Killing an invulnerable spartan (lol oxymoron) will make three nukes explode. Added two more banshees so four of them will spawn, and they will have drivers when the map starts. An invisible SpecOps elite will occasionally deliver a headshot with his beam rifle, and so will Sgt. Johnson with his sniper rifle. I have named it bloodgulch_war for now, but I know there's a map with that name already, so suggestions please.






Lol nuke owned.
P.S.: Of all the vehicles scattered all around, I didn't drive any of them. It's the AI's fault.

I'm going to stop you right there and strongly recommend that you don't upload this map. BG AI maps are a great way to get into modding if that's your purpose but otherwise they're pretty bad in comparison to custom content.
[On Topic] War of BG, BG battle, covie vs UNSC. One of those generic names.

You're probably right, but I want others to enjoy mindless killing fun. Also I did want to show off to my friend (who only mods Halo PC) what you could do with Custom Edition.

I am just curious as to when you got appointed the arbiter of what people think is fun to play? Yes it is a rhetorical question and does not require an answer One of the reasons we host all working maps submitted and not just the "best" maps is precisely because no one can make that determination without a high level of personal bias and therefore exclude maps that other think are fun. If he decides to upload it is just fine, just as if you decide to not download it it is your decision. But telling someone to not share it because you don't like BG/AI mods... well that is just hubris.

You can upload if you wish, but let me just warn you... a lot of people don't really play Bloodgulch mods since it's so popular. It's gotten too.. mainstream?
The general idea for your map is great. But I recommend that you try and build a custom map, if you want people to download more and try it.

Ya know what'd be really interesting? If someone made a map like this in say, a city, or something, and had all the AI set to move tactically. You'd be able to walk down the street and see them clearing houses and performing drive-bys.

I doubt any AI could perform a drive-by without crashing into anyone or anything.

Got it from here. It only works on bloodgulch, as far as I know. Seven missiles will drop, just like in Halo: Reach.

Edit: Some easy-to-type names please, I'm modding a lot. And also lol on the last picture cause I got owned by the two wraiths a few seconds after it. Anybody see the "invulnerable" spartan on the second picture of the first post?

Not sure. Could be that danger canyon has a small bsp height? The missiles appear very high up in the sky.

This is the second time you asked me that and I said it spawns with you in a CTF game. I was wrong, and I think it spawns when you start a game with a custom gametype. In the item options make sure that the starting equipment is set as generic.

Check if it works on other maps, I only tested it in danger canyon.

They only work in BG because of the sky box I think.The missiles would appear but they would either disappear or exploded against the skybox(if that's possible).

Just a weapon tag, but I've been looking at it and it seems that the target locator spawns many invisible weapons set with "sticks when dropped" and then finally spawns seven missiles.
