i am currently working on a clan map and it is still in the alpha stages, but the map has an issue i noticed when playing ingame i die every time i get out of a vehicle, unless im in a banshee in the air and jump out it always says i was killed by a vehicle, any idea how to fix this? It's going to suck if i can't eventually release the map because of something as stupid as this

what kinda of player and vehicle tags are you using?

standard bipeds for now i think, and the vehicles are halo 2 models like the h2 ghost i think called newghost and some halo 2 banshees with the evasion animations, and a elephant i was just toying around with for now, and a spectre, and just recently a drop pod im working on(if anyone reads this and knows about physics in halo please reply to my thread thats probly on the second page by now), oh and some halo 2 wraiths im working on, mixed thetags up with some cmt tags to get em to work like i want took forever but i finally got some wraith i like. i think that answeers it and then some.

There was a problem like this in mercury falling, It was fixed by removing a scenery I believe.

did it only affect vehicles in the area of the scenery or was it just anywhere in the map?
his problem seems to be anywhere in the map that you exit the vehicle.

edit: i remember some kind of shuddering on the vehicle just when the mc exits
it, if that means anything that might help find the problem idk just mentioning it anyway.

Anywhere in the map. This was with a custom scenery though.

ah okay wolf thanks, he should see this post later on and give maybe better details than what i can,
he does have custom scenery in the map so that just might be what the problem is.

yea its just anywhere in the map that this happens, funny thing i was toying with using the cheat_deathless_player and when u turn that on and get out of a vehicle it would sometimes push u under the map. The custom scenery i have in the map though is a inamberclad model i ported and some torches and these 2 gun sniping towers that are a wip that really need some work done. I hope the inamberclad isn't causing the problem cause i need that for my map to be what i planned it to be, btw ally don't mention my plan for the inamberclad if u remember it, its a surprise.

hmm thanks Dennis but i have collision models on everything, and only one of the vehicles was created by me, but the error i had was happening before i added my vehicle to the map.

You could also do Trial and Error. Start removing things one of by one to see what might cause the problem.(Back up the original though, so you can easily go back and just remove the item that causes it)

i haven't had much time to try it yet because i had to go to the store with my mom today... even though all i did was stand there and look like a moron. I'll edit this or something when i do it

ok, yea its the scenery, i don't know what it is exactly but i loaded and old scenario from before i populated the map, and added a ghost and a spectre and it works fine. Now i have a lengthy process of trial an error to find the problem, it better not being the inamberclad cause i need that in my map... hopefully its something like my turret tower thing I'm working on. I'll report more later

nope, i found the problem but even worse, its that special room we teleported to, which i really don't want to disclose what it is but the problem may be that its scenery, instead of being a part of the inamberclad, because its a room that's by itself, now i tried making it part of the inamberclad recently but the collision gave me a weird error which is in one of my other threads that didn't get too many replies. If anyone can help so that i don't have to completely redo the collision model here's the error i got when i tried to compile it last time:

Might be that the collision model is too big?

funny, someone else suggested that on the other thread, but i don't think that's the case because the original collision worked, the only thing different with this collision is that there is a room in the inamberclad model that's connected to the outside mesh so u can jump out of the inamberclad.

EDIT: i managed to get the model of the room working, turns out yo have to manually edit the collision model so that its not made out of dirt, which apparently is different than editing the material type on the shader. Still would like help on that other error though, cause i need to merge it or use shell one or the other.
