So I made an account on The Halo Forum a couple months ago, but haven't really used it until today. And it made me curious. Do you guys have accounts on any other game-related forums? What forums do you guys have accounts on?
I've got:
Halomaps (duh) Modacity The Halo Forum

I just signed up for the XG forums to become unbanned. If I were banned. I still can't play any of their servers! Like even after a year

To sum the forums up:
I've used, and been banned (multiple times) from all the following forums: - Halomaps - Modacity - Halomods - Modhalo
A short review of each site follows:
Modhalo: an okay, somewhat inactive site. Unfortunately ran by unstable moderators in their mid-life crisis who are easily offended by lighthearted jokes.
Halomods: seemed okay, but then you realise the entire forum is based around purely CMT and OS. Especially their projects page. Not worth the trouble if you're looking for all the action in the Halo CE scene. Also run by moderators who delete posts for wierd reasons, even if they are respectful.
Modacity: where good things used to happen. Now it's just become a place for "nerds" to hang out. Featuring lovely threads such as the "anal cleanliness" thread, and you immediately get the idea of what goes on here. People yell at you if they dislike or disagree with your opinion or work. Not worth visiting.
Halomaps: while I've been banned here the most of all, it still simply is the best forum for Halo CE modding. Any respectable people still post here, and you can (eventually) always get the knowledge you need concerning Halo CE modding. The moderation here is a bit more lacks than in the other forums, which some see as a bad thing. I see it more as an opportunity for people to voice their opinions, as long as you don't go overboard you'll be fine. Halomaps also has the largest map repository available.
Conclusion: Halomaps is by far the best Halo CE community and forum available.

Hm: hey guys let's all make h3/reach models in a ten year old engine to get internet famous. Occasional originality

modacity: smaller but more angry community, using the "f-word" in every sentence is considered cool
hm: as you said, more originality. Who cares about the other side-projects newer members do to get familiar with the engine. It's just another way to learn and it hurts nobody.

Modacity: as said it has nothing to do with Halo CE projects, good for you that you guys have an off-topic super mature debate forum in which using the f-word is considered cool. Hm: seems I'm repeating myself again, but here things actually get done despite occasional immaturity. The so called ice-cream immaturity also comes over as much more friendly compared to the f-word posts at modacity.

Modacity isn't strictly Halo, which is why they allow for general discussion.

Quote: --- Original message by: Private Caboose Put simply, Modacity mods can't handle people who are right when they're wrong. So they'll just call in the ban hammer. Whereas Dennis here, is old enough and wise enough to know that one man can run an entire civilisation, and knows what's right and wrong. And is also a bit of a social sport too. Agreed, when out-argued they will resort to the banhammer. Making it impossible to have a healthy variety of opinions on that forum. Which is why it has so few active posters, and why they all think alike. Good for them though!

Pros: hm: Great moderator who knows what he's doing.
modacity: N/A
Halomods: Lots of CMT news and up to date html/bb coding.
Modhalo: N/A
Cons: modacity: Moderators are far too open about modding activities and are sometimes worse than most trolls.

Halomods: Nothing but CMT

I've tried the other three, but as far as I've seen, HaloMaps, in my opinion, is the best one out there. I haven't seen any releases on the other forums in months! I rememebr a few months back i used to go onto Modacity and they'd always have something new to look at or play, but recently its just been dead. HaloMaps is actually consistent with releases and projects. Haha i don't know why it took me so long to decide to make a profile here, i browsed to forums here for like 5 months before i asked myself why the F i didn't have one lol.

Modacity: huge debate section full of mature, intelligent discussions ] Are you on drugs or just completely delusional? Anything cool on modacity never sees the light of day, and like Lodex said, opinions are considered fact and god help you if yours differs from theirs. Halomaps is the most active and productive halo ce forum, and we dont have off topic, which is fantastic.

Guess I may as well list my other forum accounts that I no longer use: Some from games I played for like an hour then got bored. Wizard101central Toontowncentral Clubpenguincentral(I think? Might have had a shortened name) Various clan forums A load of terrible sites that have the worst admins known to man And I'll list a few still active accounts that I haven't listed yet: Xfire CLS forums(Well, when I have time) Sanctum forums(Sanctum is the best TD game ever. Buy it on Steam )
