Looking good. Perhaps you could give single player mapping a try in the future? That way you don't have to worry about getting a bunch of people together to play MP :)

Been working on the story.

  • the picture is not unrelated, it means that i want more updates/news about this proyect, this is not rude or mean in any possible way, OP showed respect for my WIP and i'm doing the same, i will delete the picture but please, don't get something wrong just because the picture has the same type of letter used in "fail" pictures.

oh and kingfisher if you wanna know about the picture i used here it is:

I didn't get anything wrong you did so let me be more succinct since you obviously did not fully understand that there were more than one message in that bullet point: "Do not post unnecessary images "

I am all for fun and the potential comedy of images which is why I don't tell people to stop altogether, and don't remove all images (and didn't remove yours) , however, most are a) not funny and b) unnecessary and c) are a often a lazy substitute for using words. They clutter the forum and make it less readable and although not strictly forbidden should be kept to a minimum. When I notice trends like the increase in "unnecessary" picture posts I take the time to remind people of the basic forum posting guidelines generally accepted in all forums. Please take the time to read them.

Also remember: (and yes I get the irony)

I'm slowly working on it, but I do have the ground textured for the cliffs and the river bed area below. I still have a bit more work to do, but its being slowed down due to school. So, the progress is slow, but not at a hault.

    Thanks for checking though.

omg that's really amazing! , it really looks like something you would see in halo 3, but i think you should use a different cliff wall texture, it would make it look even better don't you think?

I agree, but it's just temporary for now. Same with the ground texture. I'm going to see what everything looks like ingame and do some adjustments. It's suppose to be fall time, so the orange and yellow coloration will have a fall time leaf detail map added to it. Basically, it's fall time with winter already set in the high cliffs, but coming to a close approach. I'm also going to create some custom fall time trees with an animation of leafs falling off.

Higuy showed me a guy who made scenery trees, but if you know of a map, then I wouldn't mind looking at it.

I think the cliffs are great. Eveyrthing else is great. You, my good friend, have created a work of art.

I think this'll definitely go on the Art section.

I think the falling leaves was a custom weather effect, pretty sure I saw it in a vid of ImBrokeRu but not sure!

Bleh. Sorry I left this thread for dead. But I decided to start over from scratch because I didn't like the layout. All I can say is that the architecture will be much more impressive and clean(believe it or not), and will have custom, high resolution textures. The project isn't dead, only restarting.

And yes you heard me correctly. Custom Textures. I'm trying to learn texture creation, and so far I'm getting a really good grasp of it as seen here:
