Yes it is possible to play online in Halo Custom Edition. And online in Halo Custom Edition is awesome... unless you're in the UK like me and the servers are empty until around midnight. -.-

Seriously? Have you even downloaded Halo Custom Edition yet? The isn't even a single player option, just multiplayer, settings, and quit.

Did you download the game and use a keygen? That might be why you can't play online.

Wow, I started quite a debate!
I've been playing Halo Custom Edition for about 2 years now and I've never been able to play online because the option to join a game over the internet is BLANK! http://picasaweb.google.com/rocknroll237/HaloScreenshots#5677069264305556738 I'm not a dumbass so stop TROLLING! :D UPDATE: I've just disabled -devmode and it works! You can get around it just by minimising while already online and running a devmode app though. Or by getting a devmode app that can be enabled/disabled simply by pressing a hotkey. It doesn't seem to work for me though, probably because I'm using enbseries which runs on d3d9, which I think dev also runs on. So somebody else'll need to provide a link to a working devmode app. There is also devicator and SAPP which allow you to use devmode through chat, with short commands. I'm sure one of the server experts here can point you in the right direction for either of those apps, as I don't actually run any servers as of yet, ;) |
