So I want to add the tags from a reach tagpack, and I use HEK+ to successfully extract all the tags. I then try to use sapien to open the extracted scenario, it give me this error:
You tried to open a non-scenario tag. Bad!
does anyone know why this is happening? i'm running windows 7 32-bit

Open the file through Sapien (go to sapien and open the file), dont click on the Scenario and select to open it with Sapien.

hmm...well, I now get sapien to open it without the error, and it opens a bunch of windows that are cascaded in the middle of my screen, but then it just freezes after a little bit

leave sapien alone when it freezes. it will load the scenario, if it quits after a while then post the last part of debug.txt (this is in the halo root directory)

Thanks, I just let sapien try to open the scenario for a while, and then it just crashed.
I'm not sure which part exactly of the debug.txt that you want, so I'll just post all of it concerning the time it crashed.

Go to the original Halo maps, with HEK+, and rip all tags from bloodgulch. Do not replace any tags. Try again after that. Make sure you extract to the correct locations.
