What's "the movie the thing"?

well i want to make on my own but i can't get it to work and i am asking not telling if you don't want to you don't have to ok

You hadn't heard of it? wow. besides i always thought it would be awesome to take old movie ideas and bring them up to today's graphical, and better writer, abilities. Guess it's a matter of personal opinion. i might have made it, based on what i've seen from the movie it looks pretty good as a thriller,except for two things. i haven't seen it and i don't think i have the skeellz

i can think of one map : the one with the flying flood thing... sorry i 4got the name, try playing that :D

I think that map was D40 revenge, but as far as I know, that doesn't have nothing to do with thing.

The new version of the Thing sucks. Go watch the 1982 film.

Films from that long ago, in my opinion, are boring. honestly, those movies were always boring, to me, If that's what you're in to then go for it. But at least have the decency to appreciate the graphics of the movie and the work that went into it. Just one mans opinion

The Thing was an awesome movie the 1982 one that is, i have yet to see the new one but if u want to play it as a game get a ps2 and look for the game.

Up to date story line means: People die, everyone gets scared, someone does something heroic, falls in love, does more heroic, saves world, gets girl.

Not always. First of all 1:that is, most commonly, true. But if nobody died then people would leave the movie thinking that the monster never wanted to/never could hurt anyone. it would take away all of the scare power.

2:And you're saying that like it's a bad thing because? Why do you think people go to movies like that? the same reason everyone and their uncle goes to a haunted house every Halloween. they like the thrill

3:In most movies like this, this is true. But if it's a really good one, then they'll make the "hero" look like the star and then kill him/her off when they try to save the day

4:Not always true. their are lots of movies where the only survivors are family or just don't get together

5:Not if they died the first time, and even if someone new does something "heroic" then it shouldn't be something huge like killing the monster or going for help, maybe something like getting a large, stuck, door to open so everyone can hide

6:the reason that the monster almost always dies in the end is because if you notice the characters never tell anyone. The movie makers just want you to feel deep down inside like this could have already happened, trying to get you more scared of the movie beast.

7:Again not always the case. See reasons 3-4
