All I have is blender, and I want to animate some FP arm animations. I have FP arms http://thefree3dmodels.com/stuff/characters/fps_arms/14-1-0-1410
But I need a tutorial on how to animate like reload animations or shooting animations. Anyone have a spare rifle that I can take, and a tutorial?

A rare sight, indeed.

Then for tutorials, just look around on Youtube.

I liked Lag's tutorials:

Then there's also IMBrokeRU's:

Also, DO NOT DOWNLOAD 2012. It is very different in terms of how it works compared to 2010. I would definitely recommend 2010.

I highly suggest sticking with blender. it's much more customization, constantly getting updated, there's plenty of support for it, there's plenty of tutorials on the official site, and the community is very helpful toward new users.

Except there's the part where we make things for halo custom edition and would like to export JMS/JMA/etc data. I think max is the real choice for this community.

Which expires in 3 years. The funny thing is...some of you guys have been using it for more than 3 years.

Hmm...

Why not 2.5? There are major user interface changes in that version plus tons of new features like that Surface Sketch Retopology tool.

Edit:Nvm. That page doesn't exist yet. Gotta get Martinsh to work on that

even with the huge interface change, all of the functionality remains. admittedly, it makes it much less convenient than an up to date tutorial.

That too, definitely, because you can export to halo correctly.
