does anyone have experience with" file open failed "error message on 3dmax? if you need to take a look at the file ill send it to anyone who wants to help thanx

I dont think there is a way to fix this.

i did a little research heres a script called autoback
at the moment i can see my file's image from when i last saved

im still in progress of restoring my file but anyways if any inconveniences such as this comes your way community perhaps this may aid you

There is a folder in your 3ds max directory called "Autoback", it contains the most recent autobackup files, you can often recover files that way.
You can set the # and how often max saves these files in the preferences.

do you think it is from merging a masterchief biped into your project? every time it starts it tells me that it cannot load certain files and asks me if i want to continue

but recently i delete the biped cuz i didnt really need it as reference anymore and having that error message at the beginning
