yeah sure okay i'm not that new but hey here's a question :) i'm doing water for the first time... i need to know, in the image do i move the verts to around the water texture? do i move the water texture into the blue out linned box? and why would it be tiled like that, in the unwrap window? To wrap a texture around the faces, you have to do kind of the opposite... you move the verts in the unwrap around on the 2d bitmap. In that Edit UVWs window, you can move, rotate, and scale around those verts/faces. Basically you're working the 2d "net" of your 3d shape so that it fits the texture. in the Edit UVWs box, the image is tiled 9 times so you can see how it would tile in 3d. There's an unwrapping tutorial somewhere...

I have a question about Guerilla. When I attempt to open my bitmaps file ( the tutorial ground example one) There is an error that says "you need to set your working directory." This doesn't seem like a very big problem but I don't know how to fix it. My xfire is vehicle77, if you're a pro at making maps... I WANT YOU ADDED!

This thread is for newer members to introduce themselves to the community and hopefully find a tutor that will help you become pro, not to replace the technical forum entirely. Sorry if I had misguided you. -Zekilk

No. We have enough people to beta test. No one wants a noob they never heard of who can't spell to randomly beta test their map. 1. They might not know enough about map making to give in depth suggestions. 2. Go make your own map to play. 3. They might not trust you and only beta test through there team.
