How do I export a model for scenery? Do you just use Bluestreak? What's the command for compiling a scenery?

For compiling any model (weapon, biped, vehicle, scenery, etc.) it is tool model [directory]
for example if I wanted to compile a .jms for a tree located in data\scenery\tree\models I would type tool model scenery\tree
And for exporting, it depends on what program you are using. Chimp v 1.6 for gmax, (dunno if bluestreak works for gmax but I assume not) max 6-8 can use blitzkreig (the fastest and most efficient) and anything above that must use bluestreak. Edited by UnevenElefant5 on Jul 1, 2011 at 08:13 PM

I try exporting but it says "There are no actors to Export" and "Export Module Failure."
Am I missing nodes or something?

Sounds like it. You need at least one node for any model, regardless of what its purpose is - otherwise it can't be exported. Do you have any node(s) in your scene? And if so, what are their names?

you only need one node. Open up your scenery. Make a box/sphere (size doesnt matter) Name it 'frame' Click on the scenery model, link it to 'frame' and export.

That issue is done, but now I am having issues with the model having disappearing faces in Sapien and even completely disappearing at certain angles/distances.

Increase the bounding radius (how much is colideable) And the render bounding radius (how much is rendered)
There is an equation for this, but i have not read one that makes sense to me. The number is related to a diameter of a sphere that would encompass your entire scenery model. I dont know if the units are Max or Halo.

100 max units is 1 halo unit. So create a sphere at the center of your model, and expand it until it encompasses your model. Take the diameter of your sphere and divide it by 100. Then enter that number into the render bounding and bounding radius fields in guerilla. Edited by UnevenElefant5 on Jul 2, 2011 at 02:18 AM
