That or the pics that are not marked with Watermarks of MS/Bungie are his working and he is comparing them to the retail versions, however, I believe the first idea is the right one. After looking into the magazine, Artem Volchik of Blizzard Entertainment modeled these assets as a freelancer job. It's also kind of heartwarming to know that his favorite project to work on in his career has been Halo: Reach.

I think Hunter would probably get into 343i better than he would Bungie, since he has more experience with Halo itself and 343i is [maybe] looking for that as well as modeling skills. Bungie is a top-tier developer and, shown by this guy, they obviously want expert and industry-experienced modelers.

Try using custom refs or ask artists for ones, then you'll be recognised. L2imaginate :P Seriously, almost all the modelers I know cant do anything without an accurate ref, and I think it's what makes the difference

I'm pretty sure hunter is pretty good with modeling off references :l Modeling alone is monkey/zombie work compared to the people that actually designed it. Here is one of them http://www.isaachannaford.com/Quote: --- Original message by: ODX Isn't that what modelers are supposed to do for most developers? Yes if you want to be a one trick pony. Now-a-days people want guys that can do multiple things rather than write off a paycheck to 5 different guys that do what 1 or 2 guys can do. Edited by DEEhunter on Jun 27, 2011 at 02:59 PM

There are many really good modelers in the halo community, but they can not be compared to the work done by people such as the guy on polycount. Although, hunter knows how to do high poly, low poly, ect.. he is missing the experience to bring something to life in a very short time, while still being amazingly good. I myself do High poly work, and the only reason our work comes out looking good is because of the time we put in it. These guys put 2 days per model and move on, while we take atleast a week to even get the model down (that is if we are fast about it). One of the main reasons they can do this is because they have experience and they know the tools in and out.
Please dont mistake this post as a hate on hunter. His work is awesome, just not comparable to one of these artists yet. Hth.

You work a lot differently when you are dedicating 8 hours a day to modeling rather than modeling at your own casual will. Outsourcing is good for people who aren't under a producer's contract and need the money "quick".

He just hangs around modacity. Btw, what myth are you refering too? Btw; Neuro has worked for real studio's. He understands the workflow and the tools really well. and Modacity is a Halo community... He doesnt do anything related to halo that I have seen. Btw, my post wasn't referring to people who already are in the industry, but instead to people who are still in the learning stage. (For example, me, you, hunter, Dee, ect...)
