wow I think this may be my first actual request, but would someone be willing to try and make a earth sky that has mountainous details and is from the perspective of being high in the mountains with the sun high in the sky. Something like this...



I want it to look tropical fitting though is the only thing. Anyone think they may be up to making something like this?

exact colors that resolves around the ones in the image?

also if any of you sky makers are bored could you make an a30 sky that replaces the usual lookout scenery with lumoria's distant landscape and make the sky precipice's?

i dont have photoshop so i used a free in browser version its on my other computer i gotta go practice driving atm

cool glad to see you guys interested. Didn't even think I'd get a reply. But anyway no ring please. It's to be more of a modern view from earth. The mountains and trees will only be visible from one side so IDK if you want to go full out and make a sky good for any map or if you want to check out my base model to see what side is the side in question so the textures can be done for the purpose of that side only.

Anyway, here is the base model so far showing the axis directions. I know, it's on sort of a corner and I am sure you may be looking at the map and saying "is that a diamond?" because yes it is. Don't ask why, I have my reasons But if need be, I can rotate the map in whatever direction to get it right.



As far as my purposes, the sky needs to show only out that side where the road will be coming from(facing the camera in that scene). As of now, I am not sure how far I will be letting the player go down that road so keep that in mind. Most likely I won't be letting them go too far at all.


Please do not post crit on the model. That is not what I am going for since I am nowhere near done with it.

I know you said don't post crit, but, the map looks as if there really isn't a whole lot of gameplay value.

That's because I haven't put in/built the rest of the buildings. Also, scenery is going to play a massive part in the gameplay of this map. Metal wall structures, sniper towers, large tropical trees, barrels, the list goes on, all with LODs to keep it optimized. But please, I really don't want to talk about plans for this map or anything else for it until the BSP is fully done. All I can say is it will not be left open as hell for the players to get sniped constantly. There is much more t be put into this map as far as cover and BSP pieces.

maniac has some cool ways of making really realistic scenes. I love how you captured exactly what my mind was saying but my art skills could not show though. You two should work together on this! I bet both of you together would make something crazy awesome.

Actually, I was considering it tbqh but I decided I really wanted to go with something a little bit higher up in the mountains and figured it would be cool to see a new sky not halo related.
