So yesterday i took in interest to begin my own first project for halo pc based on the resident evil series. I wanted to keep this secret until it is finished but in a short amount if time i figure that in this community it is vital to acquire as much help and suggestions as i can especially when i don't have anyone locally that i know with experience to help me finish the map.

here is the description(from residentevil.wikia)


Orders for Special Agent HUNK are as follows:

Penetrate Umbrella research facility located outside of Raccoon City.

Recover G-Virus sample from Mr. William Birkin. You are authorized to use any means necessary to secure this sample.

Upon recovery, sample is to be delivered to Loire Village. Failure on this mission is not an option.

Not long after, the two-man "Alpha Team", lead by "HUNK", trap Birkin in his lab. Not intent on an assassination like with Marcus, the USS team's assignment was simply to retrieve the samples. A misunderstanding regarding a sudden noise led to the other team member gunning down the doctor with his MP5. Leaving in a hurry to avoid detection, the two failed to notice Birkin carrying another sample of "G". Injecting it into himself, he mutated into a frightening monster ready for revenge. Several USS teams in the sewers composing of at least eight men were swiftly executed by the renegade doctor, with HUNK barely escaping alive, albeit unconscious.


During the coarse of the full-scale viral outbreak Umbrella sent in four USS agents to destroy any and all incriminating evidence regarding Umbrella's involvement in viral research. The mission led to the US Federal Government sending in their own specialist team to counter the Umbrella team's mission.

Fully regaining consciousness on September 30, HUNK made his way out of the sewers and to the Raccoon City Police Department's helipad, which he designated an emergency LZ for Nighthawk, one of the USS' pilots.

Progress

level blueprint designs is about compete

About 10 different enemy types you can encounter.

About 8-9 different types of weapons(i might drop/replace or add more)
1 ar
2 smgs
2 pistols?
1 magnum
1 sniper(if you read other threads you would know what sniper it is)
1 shot gun

grenades(standard,incendiary) *flash would be too hard,smoke would be useless*

ammo will be very limited in this map

planning some nice easter eggs

lets try and keep our faiths up that i will be able to finish this mod!

If you may always be on topic for if any reason this thread is locked I do not plan to make another one. Thank you for your cooperation.

Interesting.

I have never seen the movies, but your idea could make for an interesting mod.

I take it this will be single player?

btw, Flash grenades are not that hard to make. (at least not for multiplayer), I don't know how you could get AI to be affected by them though.

For Ai, why don't they just be "stunned"? Like how you melee elites and they stagger backwards.

As for the weapons, magnums and pistols are the same right?

The only resident evil movie i liked was the first one. When Alice started having psychic powers it ruined it for me. The last one was so fail since they tried to add oroborros and the executioner and wesker was killed and reenact scenes from the games the actors were terrible. Did you know the actress that played alice was the director's wife? It was all part of his plan for complete global saturation.

i think most people would enjoy incendiary more than flash

in the halo engine so far, you can only have 2 types of grenades.

Flash would be fun but you cant do those cutscene attacks which i would really love to have in this mod

If this game would be multiplayer im thinking of having the map have up to 4 duplicates each player spawn in a map and who ever reaches the rooftop first for evacuation first wins. Just like in the real minigame in The Fourth Survivor players are scored based on time but this was just an idea i dont think i will make in real life( lag from the number of ai's, would be a huge map,possible bugs i dont think i can fix)

so far i plan this mod to be single player after playing this mod several times i take it that you can get bored easiley

the elite's stagger doesnt last very long i like your idea though skylancer

the flood however i like how they are able to get back up when they fall down they have a cool walk too

their will be different kinds as listed but im not going to reveal the weapons yet

hopefully i can make each weapon type use the same kind of ammo like in the game

lol i love that scene and you think wesker had his cup of medicine.
chris' loss wouldnt have been as big as wesker's
theres so many bad guys dead compared to good guys
with wesker being like the leader of the pack it felt like resident evil was finally over

M66 OR RPG

M66
Pros:
-Raccoon Police Department standard issue so it would be more correct
-can hold 4 shots in the weapon
-easier to model
Cons:
-takes more time to load
-bigger so it takes up a lot of your screen(almost spartan laser size perhaps bigger)
-ammunition will be more hard to find(about 1-2 other sets around R.P.D.)


RPG
Pros:
-smaller on the screen
-faster reload than the m66(by alot)
-ammunition will be more common however still scarce like the M66

both of these weapons appear through out the series

by what im going this is gonna be a ce remake of the mini game fourth survivor? If it is that's pretty awesome i really liked HUNK's character it seems really interesting. I believe u should use the RPG, as it is an already available model and it would be more convenient.

you stand correct but ill scatter a few things and i cant make it exactly like the fourth survivor
ill try to make the gameplay feel different from the real thing (fps or tps)
i plan to model everything myself its not about whats already made for me but i want to know what you guys want

i was leaning towards rpg anyways

stay subscribed i plan to post visuals soon after my days are up from sign up remaining days: 2

YAY! someone besides me only uses things they make themselves, finally I am not alone in the universe. :)

not trying to be independent for this project to be honest

it is my first map xD however practice will make close to perfect

mostly everything else i will likely try and find help animating/scripting/compiling/(tags?)

i want to learn the basics in all of these fields too

yeah im kinda trying to be independent but i can halp people more then

atm im like pro designer but noob modeler but i got heart!

Weapons(WILL ALL HAVE LASER SIGHTING):

Mp5(Umbrella Security Service and RPD standard issue)30 rpund mag

custom TMP w/ stock(hunk's gun/Umbrella Chronicles USS standard)30 rounds (reloadable) or 100 rounds(unreloadable) start off with

VP70(or matilda(hunk's vp70 with stock burst fires)start off with 18 rounds and with burst = 6 shots only till reload :(

psg-1 (leaning 5 round mag reloadable)

m4 super(7 rounds)

m4carbine acog vertical grip(RPD standard)30 round mag

Wesker's Samurai Edge(S.T.A.R.S. custom BERETTA 92F)15 round mag

L. Hawk (deagle)8 round magnum)

RPG(displayed with 1/1 rounds, you can find like 2 more around the level)

Interesting pictures.

Have you modelled any of the weapons yet?

I would love to see renders of the M4 Carbine with the ACOG and vertical grip once you model it. I made an m4 carbine with an ACOG scope recently (although I didn't do the vertical grip for mine) for a map that I am working on, it would be cool to compare.

i havent yet since theres only one computer in the house that can run 3ds its also graduation week and im also practicing driving

im still working hard on concepts and offering my abilities to the halo community
