I'm sorry, but I fully lol'd at the ODST on the Plasma Turret >XD

ANYways, the Plasma Turret might not support W-Gunner - did you try the turret with a Spartan (player)?

Seriously, the ODST is like hugging the plasma turret for dear life, as if he was gonna fall (and drown on this very bad uvw'd ground of the bsp).

I believe you would have to edit the markers on the plasma turret?

Lameorgame is a bit sucky, this picture has too much class.
Go then and apply your considerable wit to their pictures to make it better. Be part of the solution and effect a renaissance if you dare.

It was an opinion, and a joke.

I know.

Also, do you try to improve everything you dislike?

I try.

It's a great moral in theory, but is extremely difficult to follow.

It takes character to try.

ok I think I have the answer

You put the hands in the wrong place and it did that

put them in the RIGHT place and return with a fully un-wrong picture of an ODST mounting a plasma turret

You should import into max and move the markers to where you want them.
Also, this totally belongs int he technical forum.

get kornman00: http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=1422
get gmax if you haven't already: http://www.turbosquid.com/gmax
get the 2 importer max scripts: http://ghost.halomaps.org/bluestreak/
put the scripts in gmax's scripts folder (drop them into maxscript->Run Script dialog. Simplest way)

import the cyborg's nodes and mesh, with vertex weights
import the cyborg's animation for 'W-gunner fixed idle'

import the turret's nodes, mesh, and markers. No need to check any of the options. Not re-exporting it.
attach the cyborg's 'bip01 pelvis' to '#gunner'
link 'bip01 pelvis' to '#gunner'
move '#gunner' to where it should be

it's probably simpler to edit the marker position in kornman00 rather than repair the import and rebuild the gbxmodel, so,

Select the #gunner marker

paste this into the mini-listener (in gmax's lower-left corner):
in coordsys parent $.pos/100

press enter to execute the command
the result will look like [x,y,z], but with numbers

open the turret's gbxmodel tag with kornman00
find the gunner marker
edit it's position using the new coordinate

wait wtf I thought it was because when they animated it they attached the feet makers to frame gun so when you look up and down the the biped goes through the floor.also the markers need better positioning (hands).
if it is the problem I can easily reanimate it for you
