Since most of us still like to play original maps in Halo, why not make a map with 2 different original maps from Halo put it as one map. Our 2 most famous map in Halo are Blood Gulch and Sidewinder which we all love to play in those maps. And wouldn't it be awesome if those 2 maps got mixed up as one? We can call it either Bloodwinder or Sidegulch, we will take a vote later IF people decide to work on this map. Here is a picture of what I mean:  As you can see the bases will be front to front like Blood Gulch and on the sides of this map, instead of having a sunny cliffs and overshield caves, we are going to have Sidewinder's tunnels on the bottom level and as for the top level, we can have Sidewinder's top place with the portals. The number indicates that which portal will lead to where on the picture. Also as for the top place, I forgot to add the side stairs near the Sunny cliffs side and the Overshield cave sides like in Sidewinder so you can bring a vehicle from the midfields to the top where the portals are if you want to set up like a o block or a d block. And as for the lower levels of tops known as the tunnels, you can't access from top to tunnels because the tops will be on top of the tunnels and underneath that top place would be the Sidewinder's tunnels. The tunnels will also lead to an entrance to the back of each base. After you cross the halfway to tunnels near DP also known as Double Pistol spawn, that's where Back mountains of Blood Gulch's would be, like the back mountain from red base will be at the red side, and that little sledge on back of the Blue Base will be near the Blue Side of tunnels. As for the midfield, it will be like Blood Gulch's hills where there will be the big hill, front hills, fuel rod hill, the lip, etc just like Blood Gulch. You can also walk from one base to another from the midfield or use a vehicle to get their on the front entrances or the side steps to drop down the base to get the flag where the sniper and health pack spawns at. There will also be portals on top of each base leading to top of Sidewinder's tops and Blood Gulch's midfield near the big hill for red and fuel rod hill for blue. But there will be no Overshield caves and Sunny Cliff's in my opinion. Let me know what you guys think about this idea. If there is anything that you want to add, go for it and post it here. Hope you like it, because maniac loved this idea. :D

It sounds really cool, but I don't think many people would go through the middle because they'd get demolished by people with pistols up top.

ACtully it's a grea idea- You can throughe the middle for a faster route, but your chances of dieing are larger

It could be good or it could be bad. In my opinion, i say; don't under any circumstance, just put the maps side by side and just connect the valleys. mix the features and the bases. Don't just use the generic bloodgulch base. put the cave on the side which could lead into the sidewinder cave and place the sidewinder portal cliffs against that bloodgulch one near red base....thats just me though. Granted, you've probably thought about that but just as reassurance.

Ah, but the problem here is that you'd have up to 16 players scattered across 2 large-sized maps with only narrow tunells joining them. Too big. And not original enough.

This is why i said it could be good or it could not be. If you do it right you end up with a 16 player, medium to large size map such as death island. though merging sidewinder and bloodgultch scenery, cliffs, and structures could result in an original enough map such as the bases, or say maybe the bridge in sidewinder and how that may play a more... tactical advantage rather than just being there.

hmmm... good idea, might be hard to implement though.
A mixup i've thought would be good would be Prisoner, but mirrored 4 times with some walls cut out.

It's already been done: http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=3636It just got buried and rated very low because E3po was involved with it I believe and there was a lot of drama surrounding him and Dennis at the time, eh I don't remember the whole story Pepsi told me about it, anyway enjoy it.

WM could have been so much better designed with just a little common sense and intelligence. Such as keeping the original skyboxes and not having custom water when there's already the sea from Death Island, and generally not having such a linear, SP-like map.
