I've many projects on my plate, and several things I'd like to be able to do with them. Custom bipeds continue to be a problem for me, as I do not model and many which have been previously posted are already overused. I would like to recruit a modeler to create custom characters for me, possibly for my team on occasion but it is most likely that you and I will be working strictly with each other. Custom biped animations are not necessary, however I would appreciate it if you were able to rig the bipeds to an existing animation graph of my choice (or be able to contact someone who can).

To give you an idea of the type of things this entails, here is an example of something I may ask of you:

You would need quite an amount of creativity for this one, as the only image you have to go by is an 8-bit picture of his/her upper-body.

If you find yourself in need of a modeling and/or skinning challenge, or if you feel you are among the best and still desire a method of proving so, this position could suit you well. Please note that you will indeed be duly credited for any amount of work you perform for me. Thank you, comment to inquire about further details.

Additionally, here is my xfire username: cerealkillingincorporated

For those with 3ds max 9, it looks like the character from the opening screen picture, with the snake/beast thing :)

and even if it does not, someone should make it anyway.

Yea this guy

You mean:

The 8bit one seems like it ouwl make a really cool spartan armor... cross between Cobra (CQB) and marathon.

that is one hell of a choice for a biped,i've often wondred who the white robot type charater was on my 3ds 9.i for 1 sadly have not got the expertise to model something so detailed.

It does not need to be detailed, should be only detailed enough to be up to par with most models used in Halo 1, moreso if you decide. I'm not the pickiest person in the world when it comes to poly count.

And no, I don't intend it to be a variant of spartan armor, but a new character series entirely. The example I used was one that my brother greatly enjoyed, cyberdyne warrior as it says in the picture, and he "called dibs" on those soldiers. And now, he's begun to take after me in making his own campaign. The biped is all he's missing, and I thought it could be a good gesture if I were able to help it happen for him.

Of course that isn't the only biped that's needed, just one of the things that occurs to me at the moment. Another such example of work I may request in the future would be a mob-boss styled character for my Red Skull campaign, and still others in fact for the very same project.

having problems getting more images of this cyberdyne warrior.
is it definetly the white guy in 3ds9?
if anyone can find more images it would be handy.

It is not the person on the installation image of 3ds9, yet they are a bit similar.

A better example would be to imagine the armor as a stormtrooper's armor, yet in a shape more resembling Samus's armor (expanded, round shoulder pieces) and overall it doesn't look like there are any points in the armor where the white plexiglass-like material ceases and more flexible armor resides, such as most armor does at the joints.

Thank you, I really appreciate the favor.

The helmet does look good, though I think the visor may be depressed a bit too far.

That looks better, and maybe have the armor on the shoulders a bit wider and more round, but I know you probably haven't gotten to that yet :P

okay,i've still a fair bit to do on this, the shoulder armour was just like this to give a basic shape of it.as i had said this is my first time modeling a character, thing's might seem a little slow right now but it will be all spot on in the end.

No worries, I don't consider this to be slow progress at all.

And your texturing it wrong, you need an actual bitmaps instead of changing the model colors.

He's making no attempt to texture it by changing the model colors. If such were the case, the model would be white as is the armor of the biped in question.

Smooth it. : |

take a proper look, and notice that the skin colour and the helmet are not textures or just colour changes in the model(they are colours setup in the material ID).
just like when somone makes a proper custom bsp model, certain parts get colour added simply to show where for example the cliffs meet the ground terrain.(before texturing) :)
most guys on here know exactly what i'm talking about.

edit:as for smoothing that gets done when your model is ready for it. :)
