Adjutant Map Pack

By: =UBE= Chief

Descriptions:

This is a map pack containing four SP/MP converted maps: AoTCR, b40-arena, Cartographer and Conflict.
Each map has its Pros and Cons, and some of them have many ways around them, and some have secret weapons, so search thoroughly.
Play as four Halo 3 Spartans: Mark VI, EVA, CQB and Recon (different each time you spawn).

AoTCR:
A group of Spartans were assigned to watch over the Control Room in case of Covenant attack.
Now that the war is over, no word from HIGHCOM has come to them, relieving them of their duties.
Instead, another group of Spartans have landed, with word from ONI to neutralize any resistance.
So, with these conflicting orders, both teams go to war...

(Works with all Gametypes.)

b40-arena:
Security lockdown has shut off main access routes to and from the Control Room, trapping two Spartan teams inside a two-floor section.
With boredom setting in, the small group of Spartans did what they were ingrained to do:
Fight to train.

(Works with all Gametypes except Race.)

Cartographer:
Even though the war is over, new groups are seeking the destructive power of Halo.
Two such groups have made it to a newly-discovered Installation, intending to fire it.
However, they must first find where the Control Room is hidden. You are a Spartan assigned to this duty.
You objectives: Find and activate the Cartographer, and eliminate any opposing forces.

(Works with all Gametypes.)

Conflict:
Alone in the swamps of Halo, you and your team must find a way into the Library to secure the Index.
The Monitor wanders alone, pausing every now and again to look at you and your team.
Little do you know, another Spartan team has landed, with the exact same objectives as yours.
There is one little catch, however: ONI thinks you and your team have gone rogue, and have dispatched this new team to either bring you in for questioning...
Or kill you where you stand.

(Works with all Gametypes except Race.)

Whiteout:
A blizzard has encompassed this canyon, causing two dropships to crash-land.
Both dropships are empty, and the occupants presumed dead.
Now you and another team, sent in as Rescue and Recovery, must scour the landscape to look for any survivors.
However, with Cabin Fever setting in, both teams have turned against each other.
To war, it seems.

(Works with all Gametypes.)

I've worked out every bug mentioned in the last topic (except for the screwed-up pickup tags for the Carbine), and even added a few upgrades.

Now, I hope the beta-testers from the last topic are willing to re-test this version of the Map Pack: Spartan 279; waffles; jesse; Skyhammer26; Karima; Slappy; Carter 151 and pepzee, reply to this post or PM me for a link.

There are problems with the Map Pack however. Two hundred and fifty problems. Each one a MegaByte.

Yeah. 250 MB. Dennis, If you see this post, I want to know, via reply or PM, if it's ok if I submit such a large file to HaloMaps after the final build is ready.

Enjoy.

P.S. Sorry about the fail graphics. I have a nine year old dino that needs to be replaced :p
Also, Whiteout's pictures are old. New ones will have to be taken.

If I recall correctly, Dennis doesn't upload map packs, only individual maps.

Yes, I did already post this. But this is a fresh topic, and hopefully this one can remain troll-free.
Also, I was the last one to post in the other topic, and we all know you can't double-post.

I will be providing the link to those who are willing to test the Map Pack.

Please note (as it said in the older topic) that if you dislike either CMT tagsets or SP>MP map conversions that you either put aside your differences for the sake of gameplay and fun factor instead of those pointless issues, or do not post at all.

Also (as I keep forgetting to add this in the original post), not all weapons/vehicles are CMT.

QuickEdit: I don't recall where I got the BR, but you're welcome to rip it if you also want to do me the favour of testing the Package.

I'm also asking if Dennis is ok with hosting the Package. If not, I'll provide a link here, so everyone will be free to download and play to their hearts content.

Here's an idea, what all of the current testers should do is get online and test the maps against each other, that would find the real glitches.

I was just wandering around solo trying to find something.

Maybe we could do that tomorrow, but we would all have to decide on a version to play on, I vote for 1.09, but that's just me.

I almost always use 1.09, but I can switch to 1.00 in an instant (literally, yay for having a seperate folder for v1.00 :p). I'll be siding on whatever version gets the most votes, then going onto the secondary version.

What time tomorrow? It can't be to early or late, 3:00PM EST would be good for me.. You also need to decide on a name for the server, so we know where to go.

We should also determine who lives where, and who has the best internet. That way we can reduce any lag that may occur.

I've already decided on a server name - Adjutant Map Pack
Simple enough, yes?

I agree that 3pm EST (GMT -5) would be the best bet for any North American testers (including myself), but idk if I recruited any overseas testers ^_^;

So far, I've been the one hosting the server, as everyone can miraculously connect to my computer...

...but considering it's a nine-year-old comp that needs to be replaced, along with the fact that I'm using Wireless G (that maxes out at 6 Mbps due to this old bird still using USB 1.1), I can't guarantee that the server will be lag-free.

Sounds like a good name for the server.

I'm actually in pacific standard time (PST). So that will be 12:00PM where I'm at. I'm not sure where every one else is though.

But I'm pretty sure I have tomorrow free though, so any time really, as long as it's not 4:00AM or something.

I'll have to reschedule the meet. Either from 5-8pm EST today, or tomorrow, from 3-8pm EST.

We also have to decide what version of HCE we'll be using, or else we'll be using 1.09.

I really want to know if there is an official time to test these online.
And I've been checking/testing these alone... it seems there are quite a few weapons packed into such a small map on arena and cartographer. Dunno how it plays though.

@Corvette: I'll send you the DL link shortly.

@Slappy: This is to allow a wide variety of weapons to be obtained and used as the user sees fit. It's also to avoid people complaining that I didn't put "this" or "that" weapon into the map. It's quite interesting to have an enemy pop out at you in b40-arena and you end up no-scope head-shotting them in shock response with a sniper rifle...

Include the fact that in b40-arena there are a few areas where you can be ninja - I'll show you when we get a date set for testing.
