It will only work in single player. I'm guessing gamma's script went something like:

Continuous
----If player_action_test_reload
--------------- If player has the sniper
---------------------- game_speed 2
----------------------sleep (however long the sniper takes to reload)
----------------------game speed 1
--------------- If player has the lawnchair
----------------------game_speed 2
----------------------sleep (however long the lawnhair takes to reload)
----------------------game speed 1
etc

You could have it dispense a single weapon variety with a shortened reload time.

ex: Activate machine, recieve assault rifle with quick-reload.

game speed would slow/speed up everything, not just the animations.

I am pretty sure that video uses game_speed 2. You can see how the radar blip speeds up during reload.

Not to mention, Gamma admits that he sped up the gameplay, during ingame. :P

Or a new animation for the weapon? Which just happens to be quicker?
In that case, why not make up a pack a punch machine? Would save tagspace if you were to use this method and were intending to make double-tap aswell. D:
